    Hi I'm also new to fitness pal! Am just wondering if anyone could help me??
    I wanted to know if people have lost weight by just counting calories and not carbs or protein?
    Does it matter what I eat? As long as its within my daily calories?


    If anyone could help I'd be grwatful am so confused right now :-/ x

    Hey Katie!

    Alas yes it does, a lot of lower calorie commercial foods contain more sugar in place of fat (which a lot of people don't look at....I used to be one of them). I count them more so as the same as unless your going to be hitting cardio soon after, it will store as fat. Same goes for carbohydrates, if you continually eat big starchy low calorie meals your just consuming energy which if not released through exercise will turn to body fat (even though it makes you think your under your days calories).
