Steadily gaining... need advice?

Anyone know of anything to ask the doctor to look into for weight gain?... A little freaked out (maybe it's because my wedding is now in 6 months- and I've had nooooo motivation to do anything with it because I'm gaining, and feel huge) Saw a nutritionist- go back today, but in the past 2 weeks, and a herbal cleanse down- I've gained 1.5, and no inches lost.
I sometimes net below 1200, with exercise... but that couldn't make me gain- or keep gaining? I eat clean, most of the time- well cleaner. Veggies, Fruit, Whole Wheat, no cereals, no cookies all the time, no out to eat- we maybe go out to eat once a month? if that... I eat some processed foods- as in sometimes I'll get a healthy choice, sometimes I'll have a serving of chips with the fiance, or just some stuff like that- don't really eat protein bars anymore or candy bars or anything like that. I stopped drinking every weekend a couple months ago, my fiance and I would always go out with friends during the weekend and we'd drink a few- figured stopping that would help a lot- didn't help at all. I have steadily gained around 40 pounds in a little over a year, and 20 pounds in the last 2-3 months.... I have my diary open, please feel free to be as brutally honest as anyone can. Or if you know of anything that I could ask the doctor/nutritionist... please feel free to let me know

Are you logging everything and measuring accurately? I'm assuming from your goals that you're about my size or a bit taller (5'5", currently 152 or so) and I'm losing at around 1500 calories a day (and I don't eat back exercise, but I don't work out hard very often, so I'm still netting well over 1200). Maybe give up the advocare stuff and eat real food?0

You need to eat more. If you're netting below 1200 with exercise, that's probably not enough. You only had a protein shake and a coffee for 177 calories at breakfast.....that like a snack.0

1.5 gain is probably just water weight or TOM. Maybe trying upping your daily cals. No way your body will let go unless it thinks it can replace the stores. Maybe get a thyroid check?0 -
I bought a scale to measure my meats/and everything- and I was actually over-estimating how much I was eating before getting that. It took me by surprise on some of the items... So I've been doing that the last couple weeks. I will try and eat more- I usually don't just have a protein shake that low for breakfast... I try and keep the meals around the same calories- but dinner is always my higher calorie meal because we cook at home, and it's when I'm most hungry- so try and keep them for that. Thanks for the advice! I will try and up the calories more and hopefully that works.0

The Advocare is just basically multi-vitamins, I eat real food the whole day When I have the protein shakes, it's just because they are easier to make on the go in the morning and to up my protein for the day, don't eat as much as those as I should... so trying to up those.0

do you use a food scale? once i bought one, i realized how horrible i had been at estimating what i was actually eating. it really helped me to get a grasp on portion sizes. same for measuring cups and spoons too.
i agree with what others are saying as well. you aren't eating enough. you need to give your body fuel to use or it's going to hold on for dear life to every last bit it already has stored. also, i highly recommend lifting weights. it will make a difference in how your body actually looks, not just the number on the scale. i've been lifting weights for a few months and i've seen awesome strength increases, and my measurements have gone down where i wanted them to go down, and up where i wanted them to go up. i've actually gained about 5 pounds since i started with the weights, but i look slimmer and my clothes are fitting just fine. you've gotta get that number-on-the-scale-is-everything mentality out of your mind! i am hoping that the weight i've gained has been from building of muscle, which burns fat more effectively. just doing cardio type exercises will cause you to lose muscle mass and be "soft" looking. that's why i started with the weights, and i love it!
oh and i don't get why people do those herbal cleanse things. just WORK HARD! exercise, continue eating well (but increase your calories), and stick with it. patience is key! and great job trying to change your habits! i also noticed that you've adjusted your macros to include more protein in your diet, which is great. definitely important to pay attention to those macros, not just calories. you're on the right track, don't be discouraged.
i know you want to look great for your wedding, and judging from your photos, you're very beautiful and already have a great shape. i'm sure that no matter what the number on the scale says, you will be a beautiful bride and your fiance is a lucky guy!0
