Calorie Burning Calculator

newbie. hi all.

does anyone else find it frustrating to see all the inconsistencies between the "calories burned calculator" and the actual machine??
I don't know about you, but I don't generally burn 10 calories a minute on the elliptical machine... :grumble:

    Beyond frustrating! And I get 3 different calorie burned counts. HRM, machine, and MFP. It is all so confusing.

    I just go with what my machine says.

    That is the problem with estimates...rarely 100% correct. I generally use my HRM now. Today I burned over 100 more calories according to my HRM than the MFP estimate. But sometimes it is less for an activity.
