So this is what I looked like a little more than two years ago
before1_zps17c49d9f.jpg
And I busted my butt, ate better and started working out with a passion and then I got to this
beforelifting_zpsb12ff775.jpg
And then i got STUCK on the scale at 162-163. Wouldn't budge for my life. I was lifting as heavy as I could with p90x and NOTHING. 6 days a week busting my *kitten* for 0 lbs? But then I took a picture at the same weight and man oh man I WISH i would have taken measurements!!
afterlifting_zps613ad78f.jpg
A week after I finished p90x and dropped my weights to 5 days a week and cardio 4 days a week I also dropped 5 lbs IMMEDIATELY.

So my point is this, a pleateau is just that, a plateau... it's not the end unless you're dead so just keep pushing through, change it up and also TAKE MEASUREMENTS. Too often we measure our self worth with the number on the scale and that's SO not being fair to ourselves.

If you need a little extra support and motivation for your "get up and go" feel free to add me but PLEASE tell me a little about yourself and what you're looking for in your friend request... i'm not a fan of blank friend requests.

Good job! I didn't lose this past week. Matter of fact, I gained 2/10 of a lb. But my measurements are a little smaller, so I was happy with that. I don't CARE what my actual weight is, as long as I get SMALLER. :-)

That's totally it! I used to let that number dictate my mood. I can't even count the number of times I totally fell of the wagon for months because of a stupid number not acting the way I thought it 'SHOULD ... silly me :)

Great advice. I have been on a plateau for a while, but I can tell my strength has increased. Then I went on a vacation for a week and actually gained 11 lbs. now I know I didn't eat that much so I haven't let myself get stressed over it. I have lost 5 lbs of that in a week and I know the rest will come off. Like you said, we cannot let the number on the scale break us.

Great job! I noticed a similar thing happened to me when I completed the 30 Day Shred program. I hadn't lost anything for a while and the week after 30DS I only did yoga and lost 4 lbs that week. I'm pretty sure it's because your muscles are retaining water to repair themselves after strenuous activity. When you let them chill out, you can really see the weight loss!

Lactic acid build up I kept telling myself. Plus when you're in a plateau eating crap all the time and skipping workouts DEFINATELY is not gonna help so what's the point in giving up and doing that?! If you give up you just have to start over later unless you plan on being out of shape forEVER.

Have you tried to totally change up your workouts or adding in HIITs?
