I fell off track, but been back on, and very good with food and exercise for 2 weeks now BUT I swear I look worse I haven't lost weight, but have lost an inch. Happy with that, but my fat bits look, well, worse!! It looks flabbier and floppier. When I sqeeze it it feels like large balls, when it used to feel like rice ( iykwim) .... Is this normal?? I noticed in push-up today my tummy was hanging!!! It didn't before

ABSOLUTELY.
From what I understand, fat cells, when you are overweight, are packed tightly together. And when you lose weight, the fat cells shrink as you burn their contents. Only, there is no real rhyme or reason to where or which cells shrink first, resulting in a jiggly, Jello-like flab that looks a THOUSAND times worse than the original fat ever did.
I had this happen to my post-baby belly, and I freaked out. Bawling to my husband, wanting to quit, howling about why I shouldn't even bother, what's the point, etc. Luckily he was the voice of reason like I am doing for you now. Yes, it does have to get worse before it gets better.
It might help to take pictures every other week, so you can see the definite progress as you tighten and firm up. And then post them here in the Success Stories section, because we all love before and afters!0 -
^This.
From a male perspective, my love handles are the last to go when I'm cutting. They end up looking worse just before they disappear than they do at the start.
Just keep the prize in your mind. This is just a small step along the way, after all.0 -

Same for me, and I am a female. I swear, they like double in size before they go buh bye!0 -
Yes, very normal. I went through a period of lumpiness and uneven fat distribution. Just keep working and you will get past this phase. You ARE making progress!0

Shortly after I started here, second weigh in with wonderful results I posted, "Help I'm losing in all the wrong places". I can relate to the way you describe your results. Since then I noticed I have started to see appearance improvements because I am becoming more toned ... the cellulite at the back of the legs doesn't show anymore, knees are more shapely, and the belly is more much more firm. Biggest good news is I finally stopped losing the chest... which was my biggest concern :-).0

Thanks so much guys!! I put in a skirt last night to go out, that looked good a few weeks ago, and it looked AWLFUL!!! Instead of breaking down and refusing to go, I just wore jeans, knowing its just a phase and it WILL get better.. Thanks guys xoxo0

I hope everyone is right! I look like I have more cellulite now than 20 pounds ago. Bleh! We still have to keep working at it, I guess!0
