Water weight question?

Before I go to bed last night I weighed 178.4. This morning I woke up at 179.6. I drank about I would say half a gallon of water waking up multiple times during the night because I was thirsty. I burn typically about 600 to 700 calories a day. I lift weights and do cardio. I sometimes even wake up at 177.4 I feel in the morning how I would feel if I did weigh 177.4. But, on the other hand the scale showed 179.6 Could it just be water weight from during the night?

Well, a half-gallon of water weighs 64 ounces.

So you would say it is just water weight in the morning?0

it's more likely the water your muscles are storing (to repair themselves) from your lifting routine. It might be easier to figure out what the issue is if you could tell us your current Height and Weight. Also how many calories are you consuming daily?0

My current height and weight is 6'0 178. I would say I consume about 2500 calories a day. I burn about 600 to 700 calories a day from running twice a day and lifting weights.0

Sounds perfect. Your calories are netting right at or slightly above you're BMR, which will maximize fat loss and minimize lean muscle mass loss. You're on the right track, don't worry about a day to day fluctuation, give it some more time.0 -
Well see I am so busy through out the day. I usually just eat at dinner and have a large dinner. If i do not work out during the day my weight stays around 179. If I do work out it goes down to 177. It could just be water weight. I should drink more water. I do not drink as much water as I should with the amount I sweat out.0

My water weight (I guess that is what it is) varies drastically, in one week, my weight on the scale will fluctuate up to 7 pounds, and I will even weigh myself at the same time every day... That can't be normal can it? lol0

I am the same way. If I drink a lot of water through out the night my weight sky rockets.0
