First 5k complete!

My husband and I ran/walked our first 5k together on Saturday. It was a very family-oriented color run, so it was not even timed, but we timed ourselves and completed it in 42 mins and 50 seconds - maybe not record breaking, but we were happy with it. I know we could have done better, but I hadn't stuck with C25K like I should have, so didn't complete the program before doing the 5k... I was on week 5. I was excited, though, because I hadn't ever run a full mile before, and I did it twice this time, with 1/4 mile of walking in between. (We ran a mile, walked 1/4, ran a mile, walked 1/4, then ran the remainder).

The next goal is to run a TIMED one, run the whole thing, and then work on whittling our time down and building endurance until we get brave enough to do a 10k or something.
