Hi all,
I just bought the steam bags that you can put in the microwave to steam veggies. Any ideas for how to season the food? At this point, all I can think of is putting the veggies in the bag, then adding some salt&pepper, smart balance, and maybe a little sour cream after steaming is finished to season. However, I am sure there are some great ideas out there people have used to make these microwave, steam veggies much tastier.
Ideas are welcome!

Well, I use dill weed in my veggies... Also onion soup mix with grilled veggies are good... I try to make them fresh - they taste so much better.0

I put garlic on everything. Maybe even a little grated parm?0

I second onion soup mix. Also ranch dressing mix works well. Butter and paprika is a good classic. Dice up some bell pepper and onion and throw in a handful of each.0

We add s&p, garlic powder, onion powder...maybe some season salt...Mrs. Dash too...or bacon salt....0

Italian seasoning, garlic, and olive oil cooking spray......I like buying fresh veggies and baking them in the oven for 15-20 minutes at 3500

Go to Penzeys.com and check out their spice blends. They have store fronts scattered about the country, but you can get everything via mail order, also. Most of their blends are salt free and they have something for everybody's taste. I promise that once you try their spices, the things you find in the grocery store will not compare! My favorite is Tuscan Sunset ~ great on most any veggie.0

tarragon is also a good spice to add on veggies for a different taste, or basil, and of course some garlic salt. I love garlic on everything0

I've started steaming broccoli and asparagus with a little soy sauce in the water. Tricks me into thinking I'm eating Chinese food.0
