on the way to heart healthy

Seven years ago, I had a triple bypass which was successful. Since then, the scale has crept up each time I step on it [could it be the scale? ]
On a recent shopping excursion, my reflection in a store window convinced me that the scale doesn't lie! :grumble:
By accident, I found this site and now I am convinced that I need to change that reflection that I saw in that store window. As a Senior citizen, now retired, it's not easy to stick to a food and exercise regimen, but this program, I'm convinced, will surely help...along with support from other "pals". Thanks for listening...

Congratulations on taking the first step. You are on the right track! I'm sure you will enjoy it here and find lots of support. Read the forums and remember...BABY STEPS! I started exercising in Jan. and by April was able to stop my heart medicine. I have had maybe 3 seperate instances of taking my medicine since then, but I will take an "as needed" as opposed to "daily" anyday. You can do this! Welcome! :flowerforyou:

Hey there, Welcome! I found this site yesterday and have already realized some weaknesses in the selection of what I'm eating. I really think this will help us all in the long run. Just like everything; "Plan, Record & Analyze" and this site surely does that.
    Good Luck!
  • Thanks, Michael. Good point about recognizing weaknesses...I have also recognized those areas since joining, e.g., food choices, portion control and calorie intake. I really like the idea of "Plan, Record & Analyze" Regards.
