I am curious to know the same thing. This is exactly what's going on in my world. I was a day after my daughter. Hers has come and went. Last month I challenged myself to eat clean and to workout everyday for 30 days and although I don't like TOM...I get extremely nervous when it doesn't come.0

When I started working out and losing I skipped one cycle. I thought I was pregnant and took a test, it was negative (well took like 5 tests lol) so yes, it is something that happens. You shock your body by changing things up. Its almost the same thing that happens when people are too heavy or too thin, they can stop having their cycle completely.0

Yup, mine was all over the map for a couple of months. I think i read that it's because you're losing fatty cells and regulating and decreasing the excess estrogen produced from fatty cells; as a result, your menses are all over the map. (I dunno if that's true or not though). It settles out! Although in my case, it wasn't delayed, it was more frequent which was a real nuisance ^^'.0

Forgot to add that this was back in 2010. I am on the depo shot now and everyone I know that is on depo doesnt have a cycle and before I started working our regularly and losing in January I wasnt having a cycle, now I have one (very light) maybe once every 3-4 months...0

Yes!!!! My first two cycles after starting this journey led to late and LONG cycles. I've been "normal" since!! My doctor says it's just the body in shock of the weight changes and hormones balancing back out, etc and that once I hit a milestone of say 25 or 30 pounds lost that it may mess up again. So it is common.0

My daughters for a whole year!! She was practicing High School Softball 4 hours a day 6 days a week! The doctor said over exercising can do that!0

I exercise for almost an hour every day and eat a very healthy "clean" diet and have a low body fat percentage for women and I don't get my period anymore. I'll have spotting once in a while, but I haven't had a period in months. I honestly don't mind it.0

Yep. Last summer I went through a phase where I was over-exercising (spending about 3 hours a day at the gym). I dropped quite a bit of weight rather suddenly too. Long story short, I was about 3 weeks late and when it finally did show up, it was heavier than usual and lasted much longer than usual. It hasn't happened since (or at least not due to exercising...).0

That's not a good thing. Not having it can damage your reproductive organs. When mine got messed up my doctor said that it was because I was losing to quickly and not eating enough0 -
When I first changed my activity level I missed a cycle too. I've read it's a pretty common thing when you are drastically changing your lifestyle. If there's no chance of pregnancy there's probably nothing to worry about and your body will adjust soon.0

I'm aware of this, but my lady organs have been "out of order" for a few years, as it is. However, it is common for female athletes with low body fat percentage to not get periods. One of the concerns is that they're nutrient deficient, but I take care when it comes to my diet and make sure that I'm not missing anything, and I'm not carb or fat phobic so I make sure to get carbs and healthy fat in my diet.0
