ARGGGGHHHHHH!!!!

Threw a complete hissy fit yesterday morning. I'd been at a festival all weekend, so both my nicest pairs of jeans were in the washing machine. OK, I can't wear them without a belt pulling them in, but they're under two months old and I like them.
I got a call from a friend who wanted me to meet him in the pub as he had a day off, so I showered and then went to find some other jeans to wear.
First pair. Fell down.
Second pair. Fell down.
Third pair. Fourth pair. Fifth pair.
By this time I was getting really annoyed and slightly panicked, then I found an old pair languishing at the back of the wardrobe that must have been missed in my regular wardrobe clearouts. Checked the size, even smaller than my normal jeans.
Great gaping gap at my back and then baggy round the thighs.
So I tried the other clothes. Same.
ME: 'ARRRGHHHH! I have nothing to wear! I'll have to wear a dress and then he'll think either I'm off to a funeral, court or I'm on the pull!'
In the end, I found something that stayed up more from willpower than actually being the right size, but I've already gone through so many tops - oh, and bras.
Bras! I bought some new ones a couple of months ago. Now, when I put them on, there's this great stinking gap where I used to be. Not too much of a problem if you're spending a fiver on something from the supermarket, but when they aren't, it's quite disheartening to see perfect things near enough useless to you.
Thing is, I'm still wayyyyyyyy overweight, so this isn't going to stop happening in the near future. I know it's technically a good thing, but haven't you ever thought if it from the point of view of a woman, still dripping wet from the shower wailing that she has nothing to wear?

I had to Google "on the pull"! Aside from saying fantastic job!, the only thing I can tell you is to start hitting the thrift stores and clearance racks.0

Congrats on the weight loss  (I didn't have to google "on the pull") I can feel your pain though it's crap when your inbetween sizes & don't want to shell out on a whole new wardrobe thats probably not going to fit soon. I'd just do Primark & so forth to tide me over, but you may despise those shops.
Other idea which may sound completely lame is throw a Gok Wan style clothes swap night if you have a close circle of female friends.0 -
thrift stores will be your best friend during transition. I'm having to buy new jeans about every month and a half. Much easier to pay $4 than $100. Then I just sell them or donate them back.0

Thrift stores, goodwill thats where I buy smaller, repeat smaller sized clothing. I don't get aggravated over getting smaller you shouldn't either0

I feel ya. I had bought some REALLY comfy Old Navy capri sweats and after wearing them a handful of times they started falling off. I've also noticed that my undergarments don't fit as well either but I'm hesitant in going out and buying new stuff lol.
Congrats on the weight loss!!0 -
It was the reverse situation that forced me to be realistic about my weight gain - going through my wardrobe and rejecting item after item of clothing (which, in my head, was my "fat" clothing) and realising I had to put my dirty work jeans that I live in all week back on to go out on a Saturday night.
I'm so excited for you The first time I lost weight I kept my jeans up with a belt, until one of the girls from the office told me the bum was so baggy it was ridiculous and that I should just buy some smaller jeans. So I went to a factory outlet and I was so excited that I fit neatly in to the size down that I bought two pairs of the same pants in the two sizes down, for less than half I paid for the original pair! Factory outlets, charity stores, even eBay. Enjoy the weight loss and the new clothing opportunities it brings0 -
TKMaxx has saved me many an ARGGHHH moment ... still £££ but £11 on a work dress that looked good and made me feel great in May (but is too big now) seems money well spent as I am keen to keep up morale (and get a new job) along the way ... they do a decent line in posh lingerie too at mine - just lobbing the new top brand bra bought at the same time for £6 along with said dress ... I also haunt the 70% off sales at Debenhams for nice uplifting brand undies - bras for a fiver - and my latest jeans are Levis £13 again TKMaxx ... I figure that I am OK to spend to look and feel better along the way, and I probably would have spent this much on snacks and food treats before anyway ..0
