Sick for the 4th of July

Is anyone else sick out there? I'm feeling sorry for myself as I have a cold just in time for a four-day weekend
Just wondering if anyone else out there is suffering and if you are continuing your workouts. I haven't worked out since Saturday and it's killing me.

Ok, so I'm not the only one who got a random cold in July! Totally not fun... I feel you on that!
As for your question about working out, I am not working out until I get better. Some people are strong enough to be sick and still get a workout (albeit a lighter workout) in but I am not one of those people. For me, getting sick is my body telling me that I need to rest. And after taking a nap last night and then going to bed early, I felt slightly better today. Resting helps your body get better quicker so you can resume normal life/workouts. If you try to push yourself too much while you're down, your body will take longer to get better.
I'm not a doctor, but that's how my body operates. I hope you feel better soon!0 -
i'm not sick but i do have poison ivy. i'm super allergic to it so i'm on prednisone and benedryl until friday at least so i'll be a bit of a zombie for the holiday. i'm also not supposed to sweat so, no workouts. of course, that's probably for the best anyway.
hope everybody feels better soon.0 -

Awe, I'm sorry you're sick too! I agree with you. Some people say sweat it out but if sitting at my desk is draining I can't imagine working out. Thanks and I hope you feel 100% for tomorrow!0 -

Ugh poison ivy is the worst! I'm super allergic to it. I even get it from smoke if it's on the wood in a fire I'm around. I totally feel your pain and hope it goes away quickly!0 -

I'm not alone! O_o
I've got tickets to the MN/NY baseball game tomorrow and will be sending my husband's friend with him, in place of myself. GRRR!0
