Don't think you're a runner?!

You bet you are it just takes a little practice! I can honestly say I started to 'run' in January of this year, did not even make it a minute before I flew off my 'trainers' treadmill. Needless to say I was a little embarassed. I am HAPPY to say that with a little sweat and tears I ran my first 5K race this past weekend, with a goal of 40 Minutes. I DID IT!!!..Not only did I complete my race, I beat my goal by almost 3 minutes with a time of 37:23. I couldn't believe it. Don't be afraid to set goals, even signing up for these race weekends and planning to walk the 5/10K is a great thing to work toward! I am now at my sisters level and happy to say I am working towards a 10K in the fall. Couch to 5K or Couch to 10K programs are amazing - don't be afraid to try it!!

    Congratulations, awesome job! :-D

My sister did the C25K last year after not running in years, she successfully completed a half marathon in September. It's amazing what you can do when you put in the effort!

    Great story, congratulations.

My sister started the C25K a few years ago and has since fun 3 marathons. Me, I'm still in the thinking about it stages. Would like to get some more weight off, before I think about it seriously!
