New to MFP - Looking for Online Support

Hi Everyone,

I just joined My Fitness Pal on July 1st. I'm doing really well so far but I'm concerned about getting through the holiday weekend. My weigh-in is on Monday and I'm afraid if I don't see a loss I might get discouraged. Let me know how you stick with your plan even if the scale won't cooperate.

  • Here's my advice. I who have been trying for about 6 months to lose weight. You may not see a weightloss result right away. That's okay DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED!!!!
    Use that as motivation for your next work out to work a little harder. Or not to eat so many carbs the next day or not so much sugar.. make your non weightloss your Motivation.

    Tomorrow is the holiday - So what if you skip a day!! Don't beat yourself up over it. The important thing is that you get back to it Friday. Get rid of "all-or-nothing" thinking. It is a form of self-sabotage and the surest path to failure. Know that there will be days when you take a break and just enjoy life! Know it, plan for it, and plan to move past it.
