Weight sets?

Howdy all! Hope you are having a great Wednesday! Anyhow, I currently live out of the U.S. in Oaxaca and we are going to be visiting the states for a few weeks this month. I am looking at purchasing a small weight set (small enough to fit in luggage for the plane!) and was hoping some of you might have some suggestions on a good set or good location to look for them? I've been getting into strength training in my home (our town is tiny and there aren't any gyms for over an hour away), so I need something to help me increase my workouts. Thanks for your help!

I suggest a Jungle Gym XT.0

Just checked that Jungle Gym XT out on Amazon...definitely would fit in my luggage but I'm not sure I would be able to figure out how to set it up and use it correctly - haha! Thanks for the suggestion!0

Comes with a video!
I have a pretty extensive home gym. Barbell, power rack, weight machines, bumper plates.
I still use the hell out of the suspension trainer. And I'm not nearly strong enough to do a lot of the progression stuff on it.0 -
resistance bands?0

I don't think a weightt set that would do you much good would be practtical to carry on an airplane. I would second the resistance bands, or else order the wights online.

resistance bands?
I was thinking this as well.
I have a fairly cheap set of resistance bands that I bought off of ebay from Mr. Scallycapguy...yeah, weird name...that I use at home and take with me on vacation. I would think that they are more portable than any weight set, especially when you need to increase your resistance.0 -
Your own body is a great way to maintain strength and even build some - and I presume you're taking that with you?
How about the app, "You Are Your Own Gym" - lighter than the book by the same name.
In addition, how about a portable pull-up bar that fits through a doorway (not the cheaper ones that screw between the doorposts as they let you down and mark the doorframe). These pack flat if you take the Allen key with you to build again when you arrive somewhere.
- and resistance bands - which second as ASSISTANCE bands in things like assisted pull-ups and chin-ups.
Works for me!0 -
Thanks for all of the suggestions....honestly I hadn't even thought about resistance bands and that sounds like the perfect option for me! I appreciate your help!0
