Any races/marathons not on pavement?

I would really love to participate in distance races but cannot run hard or long on pavement. Can anyone recommend any races on a different terrain (e.g. Dirt)? Thanks!!

    Maybe look into trail running races, I've heard about them in SoCal

    There are halfs, full marathons, and ultra marathons on trails. I'm sure if you look up trail races in your area you will find some that you're interested in. There are a lot here in CA!

    Dont limit yourself. If there isnt anything physically wrong with you, then you may need to check out your form (foot plant, stride, posture, etc) There are people of all ages, shapes and sizes, wearing all types of shoes (and none), who run on the road. It's all about conditioning and form. Check out youtube for help.
