The first photo (hope I can post it) was from October 2009. I was somewhere in the low 290's. The 'after' photo was last week at arond 214. I got serious about weight loss in mid-March, 2010 when I was introduced to MFP and re-learned how to eat. Hit my goal (220 pounds) in late July. I'm now sub 215.

Wasn't that many months ago that I was very ashamed of how I looked and avoided looking at photos. Now I've changed my outlook on life considerably. So for those of you just starting out, or struggling.....THERE IS HOPE. I languished as a miserable fat person for a long time and I managed to do something about it. You can too!

Believe in yourself and you can do it too! Yes you can!. I'm a 'senior citizen' and re-learned how to eat plus got my fat butt in the gym. I did a chin-up last week (for the first time in 30 years). Goal now is to do 10 chin-ups.

Make it happen. Just do-it. Take it one step (or one drop of sweat at a time). Don't quit on yourself. You are stronger than you think. Let your inner self shine. Don't surrender any more! Hang tuff! Do what it takes to be a rock star.

Or whatever cliche makes it happen for you.
