So I'm a little frustrated today. I weighed in this morning and I really thought I had lost weight. I have been working out 6 days a week and staying within my calories. However, when I got on the scale this morning I had gained weight! I'm not really sure what else I can do to lose weight. Any advice?

Keep exercising, stay within your calorie limit and drink your water. You'll lose eventually. Sometimes it takes a while for the first few pounds to drop.0

YOu should take measurments and photos and not rely totally on the scale for seeing results. Weight goes up and down a lot especially if you are gaining muslce, It may be possible that you lose fat and gained muscle. Dont get discouraged by results, if you are consistent they will come eventually and it will be worth it.0

OMG Lexi I thought I was the only one!!! Im working out and eating within my calories and still nothing totally frustrating. Decided I am not going to jump on the scales if I thought I lost something Im going to weigh myself at the same time every thursday morning and see how that goes. If nothing changes Im breaking the scales!!! lol0

Have you taken your measurements? You could be gaining muscle from working out 6x's a week - it weighs more than fat. Any change in how your clothes fit?0

I haven't taken my measurements. That's definitely something I need to do. I thought it might be that I am gaining muscle also. Hopefully it will change when I weigh myself next week!0

You're with in your calorie limit, but what is it? if its too low it could stall your weight loss. I was at 1200 calories and did not loose a pound for acouple of weeks, and then I started eating 1577, (odd number I know Jillian Michales calculation) , and the weight started coming off.
What kind of food are you eating? Is it high in sodium? If so that means you body is holding on to water. Are you eating freqently enough? I eat every 3-4 hours. How late are you eating? it is recommened that we stop eating 2 hours before bed. Just some things to consider.0 -
Check your sodium intake. I find that I work out and eat my calories or less so I should lose weight - but if I have a lot of sodium it shows on the scales for 1 to 3 days.0

Also, what we eat can make us retain water. I've seen the scale be up 12 pounds one day and two days later it is all gone. That is just how my body works especially if I eat something with a lot of sodium in it. I'm pretty much guaranteed that result. Also, when you start to workout your muscles tear down and the rebuild themselves. Your body rushes water to those areas while they're healing, so that may cause some of the initial weight gain along with muscle weighs more than fat. Sometimes I'll go several weeks without losing but gaining, but my clothes fit better. I know it's hard to get out of the scale is the only way to track my success, because I still want the scale to move! It will eventually start to move just stick with it.
Those who have no time to eat healthy will sooner or later have to find time for illness.

Me too!!! It took me a whole 2 weeks to start losing weight. I thought it was just me. It takes a lot of hard work and sticking with. It will come off just ride the wave for now. I think it has to do a lot with making changes so fast. It shocks the body and the the body has to recover first and lose weight second. Take care and stay on track. Your doing great!!! HUGS :-)0
