From High blood pressure to dangerously low?

Hello ^^ I am Timi.
I have a problem...4 months I was diagnosed with Symptomatic High Blood Pressure. That means that every time I was stressing my blood pressure would climb up to 110/190 which is almost before a great stroke....
Because of my age my doctor just changed my nutrition. That is why I dont eat white flour and any butter (those who read my diary must have noticed that). My blood pressure returned to normal 2 months ago yet the doctor said I should continue this diet form for my life time.
Yet the last month my blood pressure is lower beyond normal.
When I am fully vivid etc I have 40/80....
I must tell you also that I am a vegetarian and on no sugar diet plus the no flour diet.
Any ideas anyone? My doctor just says I might have decreased salt a lot..being a vegetarian is not bad he said..
But now I feel weak and kinda lazy cause my body is kinds lazy itself..
I try though! I really try!

Hmmm, I really can't give advice here. I will share my experience. My blood pressure is normal at home where I check it quite often. If I go to a doctors office it is high, the same as your high. Last summer, I had an in home checkup for life insurance and guess what? My blood pressure was normal. I truly have what is known as White Coat Fear. A couple of years ago, when I was in for my annual physical, the nurse took it as soon as I was called in the room and my blood pressure was high. After getting my physical and talking to the doctor, he said he wanted to take my blood pressure again before I leave. He did and it was normal. Is it possible you have this fear too. I have read it is not uncommon at all.

I'd find a new doctor. Also I assume you have your blood pressure stats backwards. The high number comes first then the low number unless your BP is really strange. Cutting out white flour and butter would have no effect I can think of at all on BP.

I'm not sure whether your primary care physician is monitoring your blood pressure, but if so, it may be worth visiting a cardiologist if you haven't already. Primary care doctors are good at a lot of things, but your issue sounds fairly unique (especially in a young person), so speaking with a specialist may offer more insight into why your blood pressure has changed so dramatically. Good luck, and I hope you stay well!

I used to have very very low blood pressure, but it slowly crept up over the years.

Now that I've lost weight the low blood pressure is back along with the familiar symptoms:

-going 'blind' when I stand up suddenly (everything goes white, then comes back into vision)
    - lots of head rushes when doing yoga
-dizzy if I take too hot of a bath etc.

Very annoying, I find I'll crave salt because it temporarily fixes it but most doctors say not to worry about it (unless you are fainting) because it usually naturally creeps up when you get older.

I am sorry for the backwards. In Greece we use it backwards :embarassed:
Changing my doctor would be useful...

My doctor is a cardiologist and he cooperates with my physician. I did every possible examination to my heart and kidneys..
Thank you so much:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

I have all your symptoms the last month...and salt cravings all the time yet I hold back. I fainted twice...

Maybe increase your salt a little. NOT MUCH, but if you're not getting enough sodium, that can cause issues too.

Here's what the Mayo Clinic has to say about low blood pressure:
    https://www.mayoclinic.com/health/low-blood-pressure/DS00590

I've been monitoring myself lately, especially since my most recent BP reading at the supermarket was 97/40 with a pulse of 57 -- by far the lowest diastolic pressure I've ever had. On the other hand, a lower blood pressure is to be expected with my current diet and exercise level. Plus, my BP has never been that low at the doctor's office.

I'm not fainting, though -- if I were, I would get that checked. I hope you and your doctors can find a solution.

The creep can be pretty small. The last time a nurse took my blood pressure (a few months ago) it was 110/64 (so "normal" but getting "close" to being considered low). I'll be 61 soon. I think it might be running lower than that now, because I've lost more weight and I'm starting to get occasional "symptoms", like sometimes when I get up too fast.
