^yep! Why not use MFP as it's meant to be? It's free and it REALLY actually works! There are people on here that have lost 200-300lbs without wasting money on things like this. Just a thought.

I thought this was going to be a post about how MFP works....and it does. As the above poster said, why not just use this free site?

I have just started using it and was just woundering if anyone had tried it along with MFP and all I need help with weight lose other then tracking what I eat every day.. I need something to curb my cravings and my want to eat if I thought it was a big deal to ask about it I would not have.

It's not a big deal, everyone is just telling it like it is......It Doesn't Work.

Yeah, I'm definitely not spending my hard earned money for something that won't work.

MFP is free and it works. Like, actually, really works.

As far as curbing appetite - plenty of low calorie veggies, lots of protein, and healthy fats are a great way to curb your appetite. Plus you get to eat, so that's awesome too.

Sorry if anyone sounded abrupt, but most of us here don't believe in quick fixes, probably because we've personally witnessed the failures. What works for weight loss is a reasonable weekly calorie deficit that you find sustainable. That's all there is to it. Which means you can have usually what you're craving, if you use portion control and fit it into your day. Better yet, you can eat more if you exercise more and you will feel healthier and more satisfied if you eat more nutrient dense foods.

Thanks I guess im jut a little frustrated at how to do this we are a family of five with one income it is hard to buy realy healthy food at the prices they are today. I also am on the road two to three days a week to school. Im gone from none to 6 pm that's lunch and dinner. I am trying not to eat after 7pm cause I heard that makes a difference as well.

so if you're on a budget with a single income, why are you trying to spend more money on supplements? make a grocery list, shop for things that are on sale or in bulk, buy things you can freeze, use coupons. a $30 bottle of pills could easily buy you 15 pounds of chicken when it's on sale. that's SIXTY servings of chicken. just use mfp, be smart about what you eat, and be patient.

Exercise helps to curb cravings and you get fit at the same time doing it.

Food is expensive, but not as expensive as weight loss junk. Do you know how many organic bananas I could buy for $33? Like...40.
We're a family of five on one income while I'm back in school as well, so I totally understand the budget constraints. Google is a great resource for inexpensive recipes - rice is cheap, as are beans, and basic in-season veggies. I'm guessing you eat meat already, so that wouldn't be an extra expense...all you have to change perhaps is how you cook it.

Eating on the go is always a tough one for me. I've found it's easier just to eat snack foods (a piece or fruit and nuts and yogurt) instead of planning a meal or I make extra for dinner and take leftovers with me. Or I'll take a pack of flavored tuna and an avocado and a spoon and call it a day.

Definitely do some research. If the Internet is saturated with anything, it's information related to food (and porn.) Lots of good ideas to eat healthy on the cheap and on the go.

+1 to exactly what she said. You can do it. You just have to learn how, and don't waste money on a quick fix. The timing of when you eat doesn't matter as long as you stay in your goal, so eat dinner after you get home. Make large batches and eat lots of leftovers. Use similar ingredients in your weekly recipes. There are many ways to do this.

I tried that wrap not too long ago and it didn't do a damn thing for me. Waste of $25 bucks. Apparently, it worked for some other girls I work with who saw a difference, but the results are not even permanent if it does happen to work for you, and you have to keep wrapping yourself to maintain it. What the hell is the point in that? What really WORKED for me was cutting calories and working out. Try that. THAT works!

As far as money for food goes, I have saved so much extra cash by cutting out fast food and all the times I stop at the gas station for a 32 oz pop. Buy in bulk. Big bags of tilapia, big bags of chicken breast, frozen veggies...you're pretty much set until you can afford to buy things for new healthy recipes.
