I will keep this short and sweet... I started this journey September 2012 the day after bu 32nd bday because I saw myself in a full length mirror in a bathing suit and it was horrible. I really never saw myself as being fat, I knew I was a little heavy but not fat :( So from then on I have changed my life...I still eat things that aren't the greatest but always in moderation and I think counting calories is the easiest way to do this...figuring out my calories was probably the hardest, it was hard to figure out what my body needed. I even went to 1200 calories and I lost but always gained it back so I tried the eat more to weigh less and after a few gains I got it figured out and I did it! I eat 2000 calories a day and I feel like I am NEVER deprived! I still drink my coffee's and only water. I don't do any artficial sugars for I can't it cause me migraines. I try and eat 100-150 grams a protein a day and keep my sodium below 2500 :) When I started I did a lot of cardio and weight machines. I now only do HIIT cardio and I do free weights and I love love love it!! I hope I can inspire you all who are just starting your journey....
