Trying this again!

Hi! I am a 34 year old woman looking to lose the weight that I gained back from 2 years ago. I lost the weight because of a friend asking me to be in her wedding. It took me about a year and a half to lose and now it has been creeping back up. I am sick of seeing what the mirror shows me. I thought that coming back to "myfitnesspal" will help me get me going back in the right direction. This is my first full week back. I was able to lose 1 pound. My biggest problem is the motivation to get moving and exercise when I get home from work. I know right now that I should be going for walk instead of posting on the internet. But I also know if I wasn't writing this, I still wouldn't go for that walk. It is sad that I feel like I don't have any motivation to really help me. Where are the rest of my friends to ask me to be in their wedding?? LOL.

I sure hear ya! I had a 6 month siesta from exercising for no apparent reason. That internal motivation is a fleeting thing. I somehow found mine again. I hope you find and keep yours!0

I know how you feel. After coming home from work I'm exhausted and the last thing I wanna do is take my poor pups for a walk!0

Hi! I'm newly back also. I'm not dieting...just using MFP as a tool to observe my food and movement choices and how they affect me. I'll send you a friend request but no pressure to accept. Wish you well on your MFP journey!
Here's what I wrote in my own forum intro:
Hello. I've been away from MFP for some time but I am back and want to start using it more frequently. If you would like, please read my profile to find out more about me.
For now:
-If you are someone who is interested in seeing what someone else is doing here, you are positive and you are not dependent on others for your happiness then you may want to consider following me.
-I have opened my diary, profile and blog to the public for those that are curious as to what someone else does here on MFP.
-I'm open to gaining "friends" who would like to follow my progress as little or as often as they want.
-I am currently interested in using the MFP site as a tool in my journey with food and movement rather than as a social network and will likely rarely communicate with the "friends" I make.
-When I do communicate I only post positive feedback.
-If "friends" want to communicate with me I respectfully ask that they consider posting minimal positive feedback and not taking it personally if I don't reciprocate. (Like I stated above...not really here for the social network).
Thanks so much for considering and have a great day!

I am new to MFP and looking for support as well. I recently started running and am finding it's very much a mental motivation for me: I hit a running goal once to prove it to myself and then I can't seem to hit it again. Frustrating. Good luck to you and would am looking to add positive support people as well!0
