In serious need of a new challenge

I need a new challenge, guys!

I haven't really been able to get in with any of the current ones so I think I want to start my own!

Anyone with me?

I FINALLY have a computer at home so it'll be alot easier for me now lol.

So here it is. We'll call this the... One month challenge!

We'll take one month at a time and choose how much weight we want to lose in that one month.

My goal is 8 lbs. (AH!, I dunno if I can do that! :blushing: )

We'll have mini-challenges like fitness challenges and weekend challenges!

So here are my stats:

As of July 1st: 180 lbs
Goal for August 1st: 172 lbs

What we'll do is challenge each other to certain things "50 sit ups a day for 3 days straight" or whatever and then everyone has to try to meet the goal and we'll post about it. We'll do one fitness challenge a week and a weekend challenge every weekend.

I'm so excited!

So here's the first weekend challenge: Stay within your alotted calories!
I know this one is a tuffy for most, so good luck!

    Goal for August 1-166 (I'll fit into my skinny jeans!!!!)

    So what be our first challenge? NOT gaining a hundred pounds over the holiday weekend? :laugh:

    I'm in!!! I'll set my goal at 8 pounds too. I am 186 today...

    As for the staying within our calories for the whole weekend, THAT is a challenge for me for sure! I always screw up on the weekends and this is just what I need!!!!!

    thats only six pounds, but I'm counting on gaining some serious muscle when I get to start back to the gym next week. w00t w00t :bigsmile:

    Im in! I like the idea of different challenges set up. We can each take turns.

    Just logging this weekend is gonna be a great goal for me. I plan to stay in the limits adn get some exercise in.

    i'm in! i'm going to aim at 6 pounds by the end of the month - i'm not sure i can do 8.

    my own personal challenge for this holiday weekend is to exercise every day. that keeps me a little more mindful of what i eat!

    Well, being fairly new to MFP, I have been reading these Challenges with interest. I think I'm ready to commit to this one.

    Weight on July 1 -- 156
    Weight on August 1 -- 150

    Love the idea of workout and weekend efforts! Thanks for starting this up!

    im having a weekend away with my husband, on the 18th july, so that is my motivation for half of the month! lol

    Is the weekend over YET??? I had a cheeseburger AND a CHOCOLATE cupcake...man, was I sweatin' bullets while logging my calories BUT I have 73 left...so not all is lost! Shew!:explode:

    I went over by 235 on the 4th but I didnt log the 5 hrs we walked around the carnival carrying a 1 yr old. So I figure it baout evens out...lol

    Oh I want in.... My Daughter 1st birthday in on August 1st. I have 15lbs to lose. I know its a lot but I want to be as close as possible. I have lost 9 lbs in 3 weeks. So I know its possible. I haven't exercised in a week so my goal is to walk 10 miles this week and jog 2 miles 12 miles total this week.

    Not sure I can do it, but I think at least a few of these pounds are just from yesterday.... I really need to break the 164 I've been stuck on!

    How's everyone doing so far???

    Getting thru the weekend without going over my calories is a HUGE accomplishment for me...I know it's just Saturday but I've usually SPLURGED big time by now! hehehe

    I didnt do so good today. 600 over...sigh The fam is here and my mom wanted chinese buffet. so here we are...I havent gotten to go running either because my DH wont get up with the baby for some reason this weekend and it is too hot here after about 8.

    Didn't do well at all. I was away the whole weekend beginning Thursday night, we went camping/fishing, had to way to count calories or log in much. I just tried to do ok. I will weigh tomorrow and see what damage I have done. I'm anxious for this weeks challenge. I wonder what it will be??? :huh: :tongue:
