how would you react to a friend who tells you not to lose any more weight you because you look sick.i recently lost 15 pounds(baby weight) and i am 5 pounds away from my initial goal weight.i saw my friend after three months and she said i have changed a lot and asked me whether i have reached my goal weight.i told her that i have not reached my initial goal weight yet and when i do, i would see how i feel about the way i look and decide if i need to lose more.she then tells me "well dont lose any more weight because you wont look pretty and you look sick now".this friend has not seen me when i was at lowest weight so i really didnt know how to react.how would you respond to such a comment.

Is your BMI healthy? Don't make yourself unhealthy!! But if your BMI is healthy, don't listen to her. If you feel beautiful, thats all that matters :)

Hi There: I read your post and I want to help if I may.
    How old are you?
    How tall are you?
How many calories do you eat in a day?
    Do you exercise?
Take a picture of yourself and really look at it. It's a different perspective of yourself.
    Then decide.
    Best of Luck!!

So long as your body fat percentage is at a healthy level, shrug it off. People often have trouble adjusting to significant weight loss. Everyone has an image in their head of how a person normally looks, so when you lose weight, reality and this image no longer match. Evolution has programmed us to see rapid weight loss as a sign of illness, so it is not an uncommon thing to hear. Once you maintain at that weight for a while, comments like this will stop as people get accustomed to the new you and the image in their heads gradually adjusts. I used to hear all the time about how I was wasting away, how I looked liked a holocaust survivor, how losing any more weight would be unhealthy (at the time, my body fat was still squarely in the overweight range), but those comments have completely stopped at this point. Try not to let it get to you.
