Workout for beginners

What is a great work out for absolute beginners? and I do mean absolute haha. I never workout, I only walk for exercise.
Can someone recommend a dvd I can get that I can do at home. I tried the 30 day shred but it was way too much for me at the moment.

    How about some zumba dvd's they are fun and not too intense but you can bring up the intensity a bit as you start to feel fitter, also Deann Berry has some good dvd's of aerobics e.t.c which again you can lower the intensity when starting out and bring it up as you get fitter.

    Davina McCall also has a lot of dvd's that i believe are supposed to be quite good and not too intense
