Fasted lifting?

I know a lot of people are fans of fasted cardio. But, do you lift fasted as well? If so, do you find it hard to make it through your work outs? Especially on heavier days like legs & back? I'm thinking about trying fasted cardio, followed by fasted lifting. But, I wonder if I will have the strength to give it my all without any food for energy in my system.

Try it but take it easy.
I lifted on Monday without eating first but i had had a large meal late the night before. it was OK but definitely not my preferred choice.
Just take care and if you don't feel right, stop0 -
I think you could do one or the other but heavy lifting after active cardio is hard enough so I would be careful in a fasted state...0

It depends when you're going to do this and how hard you are expecting to work out.
I do fasted cardio followed by lifting but I also am at the gym at 5:30 in the morning and I'm not really hungry that early. The way I see it my body is still using the reserves from the night before so I am not effected negatively by it (I'm probably wrong though but that's how I see it).
If I work out later in the afternoon I have to eat something 1/2 hour to an hour before other wise I will get nauseous, light headed and dizzy.0 -

I'm the same way. I get to the gym around 6:30am-7:00am, so I think this might work for me. I'll give a try one day & see how it goes. Thanks for all the great replies!0 -

Just bring a little something like a banana or a granola bar in case you get light headed and start feeling off.0 -

Sounds like a plan! Thank you0 -
If I can help it, I almost always lift on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. I never feel like I'm not able to push myself as much as I need to. I just make sure I drink a protein shake right after my workout.0
