I am going through a mental breakdown at the moment because I have been saddened that I have been stuck between 134-139 for the last 5 months. Unfortunately, I cannot seem to get into the 120's. I'd really like to be a lot better looking than I am now primarily, and a lot more in shape, and it horrifies me. I know I need to lift heavier weights to ultimately sculpt up my body differently but with two surgeries, that is not possible. I had a pinky finger tendon repair six months ago and another surgery on it recently to clean up scar tissue so I am unable to do a lot of upper body-core where I have my big problems with fat/flab. It saddens me so much everyday I find that I am depressed that I am stuck here because I do not want to be no matter what. At most I am just grateful to have my body in some sort of better shape than two years ago minus my injuries.
But ultimately do any of you have photos to share? At any weight really! Also, I'm really interested in seeing those 120 and lower, like 115 just to imagine if that's where I'd like to go.

I hate to break it to you, but most of the photos that will be posted will probably NOT be of 115 pound 5'8" women. Most women of that height will be significantly heavier because, frankly, at the weight you are "aspiring" to, you'll be clinically UNDERWEIGHT. Even at your CURRENT weight, you are BARELY in the normal range. You'd be UNDERWEIGHT at 120 lbs as well.
I hope you do get some honest responses and photos on here, because it sounds like you have a very bad body image....which is a shame considering many of us would LOVE to be even remotely close to your weight.
Good luck!0 -
I'd suggest going to mybodygallery.com0

I am 5 ft 7 and my profile pic is me at 178 (current weight) I know I am sitting down but trust me woman who are this height do not weight 115. At my smallest in High School I weighted 127 and that was too skinny. Mind you I have a large frame but still...my friend who is 5 ft 3 doesn't even weight 115....and she is slim and trim.0

I'm 5 ft 7 and these are my progress photos:

My lowest weight (the bottom photos) is around 145-147lbs. I only want to get down to about 125-130lbs, but even for me I feel thats going to be really difficult.
At out height we're going to weigh more because theres more bone/muscle etc than a shorter person! Its about how you look, not what the scales tell you.0 -
I so agree with this lady right here...0

My sister is 5'1" and at 115 pounds she was a size 2 and people asked her constantly if she was sick or had an eating disorder. From your post it seems that you are unhappy about your body. Most likely because you are not doing strength training and probably are "skinny fat" (thin but not toned). You need to try to do some research about exercises that you could do with your limitations that would help you lose body fat % instead of weight.0

I agree, focus on body fat % instead of weight. Maybe consult a trainer at the gym or a physical therapist about what types of resistance training you can do to increase strength and toning.
Just for reference I'm 5'7" and I weigh 187 currently (profile pic), I'm nowhere near my goal (145-155) but I don't think even at this weight I look awful, just fluffly, lol0 -
Thanks for all the great photos and responses! I guess we all carry weight differently for sure and I think you all look great and I'm glad you're sharing your journey of fitness in general. As for myself, I feel horrible when I see myself. I definitely don't look thin, I feel very big and sure there's nothing wrong with someone being this weight or big in general at any size, I just hate seeing myself this way. I'm not toned and I know it would make a difference but I'm so limited due to the injury. I hate that I am this weight and size, but I hated my size and body heavier also. Now I'm a lot less repulsed but still disgusted with myself. It's horrible because I don't want this to rule my life. But I have a problem with comparison and not being "as beautiful" in someway. I wish my body looked like someone else's or wish I looked like another most days but I do therapy. I also know beauty is within but it's hard to apply that personally because I feel always inferior. More or less, I assume I don't think I'll be happy at 115 but I feel at least I will be decreased in size and a lot more narrow. At this rate I will permanently be repulsed. More or less I love seeing progress photos and hearing encouraging stories on fitness and the journeys of everyone, especially women my height. I am always open to more! Xo0
