Depression BE GONE!!!

 That is my motto right now... until I fully beat this depression that I've been suffering with the last few months. I've slowly let myself lose control and gain a little bit of my weight back... and I've been making excuses galore. BUT NO MORE!!! And, I know my friends are probably tired of hearing this... because I've said it before... but, I mean it. It's not just words now. You're going to see it in my actions.
Yesterday was my first day REALLY back on MFP. And, it was such a good day. I got up early yesterday morning, exercised, and then ate a good breakfast. I then cleaned my room (which I had been putting off for ages, causing everything to be buried in dust, papers, and clothes). After that, I ate a good lunch and went for a nice long walk, while listening to some good Christian music on my headphones. I then took a 3-hour nap. After that, I fixed myself and my wonderful mother a delicious and healthy supper and we watched some Walker, Texas Ranger. And... I finished the night with Level 1 from the Jillian Michael's 30-Day Shred Program. I kept myself focused on God and my end goals... and I kept pushing forward instead of burying myself in my room with all of the dust. All-in-all, I felt amazing last night... and I still do this morning.
Here's to another great day...

I used to battle depression, so I know how you feel. I hated taking anti-depressants, but I read that creatine (a natural supplement) could help take the edge off. Combining that with eating well and working out I only deal with it seasonally and it is easier than it was before. Good luck!0

Thanks for the well wishes. I've been taking Pristique for myself... and it works better than taking nothing. I'm able to fight it easier... but, the last few months, I've not even been trying to fight it. And, you're right... anything will work better with exercise and the right diet (everyday nutrition).0

I have also faced depression. In fact, I had a really low day yesterday and I've not had that for some time. For me I chose to work with a therapist, increase stress reducing behaviors, acknowledge things that I was feeling and I've begun to feel like all the work I've done (which sometimes I don't give myself enough credit for) has actually brought me to a better place...not any less difficult at times...but I'm more able to help myself and recover from the lows.
I'll send you a FR and if you'd like to accept feel free. Best to you!
Here's what I wrote in my recent forum intro:
Hello. I've been away from MFP for some time but I am back and want to start using it more frequently. If you would like, please read my profile to find out more about me.
For now:
-If you are someone who is interested in seeing what someone else is doing here, you are positive and you are not dependent on others for your happiness then you may want to consider following me.
-I have opened my diary, profile and blog to the public for those that are curious as to what someone else does here on MFP.
-I'm open to gaining "friends" who would like to follow my progress as little or as often as they want.
-I am currently interested in using the MFP site as a tool in my journey with food and movement rather than as a social network and will likely rarely communicate with the "friends" I make.
-When I do communicate I only post positive feedback.
-If "friends" want to communicate with me I respectfully ask that they consider posting minimal positive feedback and not taking it personally if I don't reciprocate. (Like I stated above...not really here for the social network).
Thanks so much for considering and have a great day!

Everything in life is a choice, no matter how small or how big or how long you deliberate or how quickly you make the snap decision.0

My depression is much more manageable when I exercise and when I'm in better shape. I take medication for mine, but a good workout helps me on bad days. You just have to take the hard step of actually getting up. Good luck on beating depression and on your weight loss!0
