Ramadan and exercise?

So, for those of you who don't know, Ramadan is a month of fasting and starts tomorrow! You don't eat or drink anything from dawn till dusk (so 4AM to 8:30PM during the summer). I have no idea when to exercise! I'm on week 2 of the Couch to 5k program and it'll be really hard for me to exercise after 8:30, especially since it's a more festive month for me and my family. So would it be okay if I exercised at 7 or would it be bad for my body since i can't drink water till 8:30? Thanks for the help in advance!:flowerforyou:

I was thinking of doing the same thing, running right before Iftar and then be finished at exactly iftar time! Drink my water and then a healthy meal0

Inshallah I am going to workout before Iftar.
I did this last year and it worked well because I was only thirsty for a little bit!
I don't think it's a good idea to workout after Iftar as I know I would feel bloated and sick.0 -
Hi, not quite understanding Ramadan. Pls explain, you don't eat anything between 4 am and 8:30 pm? So, you eat between 8:30 at night and 4 in the morning? Do you do this all summer? I know that religious fasting is a sacrifice. I respect religious fasting. Please help me understand, can you tell me, do people who observe Ramadan typically (naturally) lose weight during the summer months? Are there certain foods that are not eaten during Ramadan, too? Thank you for helping me understand and wishing you all the best as you find ways to work out and eat during Ramadan/0

I think you should keep exercising but just take it easy... I have no experience with Ramadam but I did the 40 hour famine, and on the second day of that I felt really faint during a run! So just listen to your body & go easy if you need to0
