Hi MFP members,
I've been going to the gym for a while but just yesterday I decided that I actually should maintain my goals. So, I attended my first bosu bootcamp and that just kicked my butt. I usually workout using 5 different machines that accumulate around 300-500 calories burned overall/workout. I try to go at least 3 x's a week but sometimes I'll go maybe once or not even. But I am ready to loose some lbs and fit better in my clothes. I usually walk every day around my neighborhood and sometimes I walk to the nearest store plaza which is a 30 minute walk and walk more just for the fun of it. I enjoy walking! ^_^ Are there any words of encouragement or anything anyone would recommend to me? For example, what would you recommend for me to try while at the gym (machines or classes). Thanks in advance.

Hi you ever did spin classes. They are really good and how is your eating habits. I know that is my enemy. I have the gym down pack. Also have you tried full body circuit training.0

Hi,
No I have not tried spin classes. The only classes I have tried are bosu bootcamp and zumba. I've been wanting to try belly, butt, and thighs and yoga sculpting. My eating habits...hmm let's see I eat fruits, veggies, and of course fatties. When I cook I avoid using butter or any type of oils, but that's unavoidable when my family member's cook because they use butter & oils. I avoid sodas and mostly drink water. On occasion I'll drink a sweet tea, raspberry ice tea, or chamomile tea.0 -
A good circuit training program is always good. Jillian Michael's 30 day shred is a great one to start with, the videos are on youtube if you want to check them out! Pauline Nordin's Butt Bible is great too, as is Denise Austen's quickburn cardio. -I do lots of working out from home because I have a 9 month old baby:) Workin' just fine for me so far!0

Hi,
Thanks! I'll have to look into the Jillian Michael's 30 day shred. I remember a couple of years ago I used a video from the library and it helped me with my form, I can't remember the name of it but it worked for me. Yay for those videos working for you and yay for a 9 month old baby.
On another note, when I was 14 I lost 23 lbs and was at my most fittest. I lost weight for the sole purpose of looking good for my sweet 15. I would do crunches (250+ per night), push ups(200+ per night), and several other exercises along with my pe class and after school curricular activity-tennis. I lost that weight within 3 months. I would eat lean and made sure to eat healthy. Fast forward to a couple years and I had gained the weight I lost and some more. I went on a diet for health issues. I had a nutrion plan set for me and I lost weight. I was close to what I had lost when I was 14. However, because my nutrition/diet was different you could notice it. I personally liked it but at the same time was not liking it. Anyways, what I learned was with a plan and dedication as well as patience my goal can be achieved. Hence the fact I decided to join this website (along with continuing my gym membership).0 -

Hi,
I enjoy the elliptical also. I at least do 15 minutes on it every time I go to the gym. I like working on my legs and butt, so I guess lower body. I tried the pull your self up strength training equipment and I pretty much sored my body. ANyone have any recommendations on how to use/adjust my body for that?0
