For weighing yourself? I have a Weight Watchers digital scale that I bought many moons ago and it works well. I’ve seen it on Amazon for $28.

For weighing food? I bought a digital scale at Bed, Bath and Beyond I think for under $20.

I'll be stalking this thread as i want a new scale also, bathroom scale that is. I want to get one of those precision ones that let's you know if you've lost like 0.4lbs because the one I have at the moment rounds up or down to the nearest pound so will show no weightloss. I think seeing the ounces lost would encourage me that something is shifting if that makes any sense:ohwell:

When I was looking wanted a Wt watchers one, but you can get similar digital scales with fat and water calculations at walmart cheaper... $28 on line isn't bad though when I looked at a Weight watchers one through a group it was 40-45

I would surely say to go for a digital one 'cos I had a regular scale with the needle..but it always couldn't balance off the grams!!

I would look at digital scales that estimate body fat percentages and possible water weight. I don't think you should buy the best scale you can afford. I looked up scales similar to the Tanita scale I bought years ago and they seem to start in the $50 range, although some are much higher.

Do you measure yourself? Tape measures can be wonderfully motivating when you're on a plateau. Sometimes the weight stays the same (grrr) ..... but the inches go down.

Weight can fluctuate so much (sodium... retain water, muscle soreness ..... retain water .....monthly cycle... retain water).

Whoops, there was a major typo in my comment above. I intended to say "I don't think you should skimp on the purchase of a scale, buy the best you can afford."

I would look at scales that provide estimates of body fat and water weight because you will get a much more comprehensive picture of your body composition.
