Sizes of Women's Clothing?

Hey everyone! Just curious for some expertise/opinions...
Woman's Clothing - It's common that most pants are sized even or odd numbers (i.e. 12,14,16 or 11,13, 15). Now, when our sizes are DECREASING... ...how do you classify that?
I started in a 19 and now a 15, so did I drop 2 sizes or 4?
Hope everyone's feeling great!

I think female sizing is a joke. Men's attire is much more sensible 32" x 32" straight forward.
I can be from a size 4 to a size 8 depending on what company.
I say go by inches. Did you lose four inches? That's all that matters. Congrats on your weight loss girl!0 -
You lost 2 sizes. However like the above poster said, inches lost is better.0

I think it's 2 sizes. It seems odd sizes are normally jr. sizes and even are women's. Thats what I've noticed. Either way you are doing great!0

I agree with Serena!!
Generally speaking, odd numbers are junior sizing and tend to be smaller than women's pant sizes which are even numbered.
Of, course it's still all out of whack! I have pants that fit me well that are size 4, 6, 8 and some more that are sizes 7, 9 and 11. And then theres dresses....I have everything from a Small, 1-2 to a size 8. So completely random!0 -

Oh dont say that I got some guys all offended when I told them shopping for them was easy compared to the BS stupid sizing companies do for women.
Hate the fashion industry. Hate it.
oh and congrats on the loss a loss is a loss0 -
We only have the even numbers here in the UK, and our sizes are different to yours i.e your size 6 is a UK size 10. I really dont know why they have to make it so complicated. I can go to one shop and buy a pair of jeans in a size 8 (US size 4) and go to another shop and need a size 12 (US Size 8). I hate it. And dont even get me started on bra sizing!!!0
