Effexor. Did u gain or lose ?

Dr wants me to go on this for phantosmia. I'm not depressed, it's for phantom smells. But I can't gain anymore weight. What's your experience ?

    I was on it but, it made me so nauseous I couldn't deal with it anymore. What is a phantom smell?

    A phantom smell is smelling something, in my case burning moldy leaves, at different times throughout the day, . Mine was caused by a blow to the head(trauma) but it can be caused by other things. Dr said most times effector helps.

    It won't make a difference in your weight unless you eat differently. The medications themselves don't make you gain weight.

    I gained, but not as much as when I got moved to prozac.

    I am currently on it and it has not affected my weight one way or the other.
