fluctuating weight while trying to maintain.

I have lost 98 lbs this year. I am now trying to maintain. I am easing back into eating more calories. I am currently eating between 1300-1500 calories.

That being said, my weight is fluctuating like mad! 153 one day 160 the next and everything in between. I weigh myself at the same time of day before eating anything that day.

Why is my weight fluctuating so drastically. it is hard to know if I am eating the right amount if my weight is being a jerk.

Anyone know anything about this and how to keep it under control?

There is little you can about weight fluctuation, its a natural process. If you want, you can try to eat more foods higher in potassium and magnesium to offset some sodium.

    Can you open your diary.

Track your measurements too/instead. And weighing every day will drive you mad! I sympathize, my weight was fluctuating, an i decided to ignore it, but ignored to too long and gained back a chunk...

The macro's aren't too bad, but I don't really see any fruits or veggies. I would suggest eating both. Additionally, don't worry about tracking sugars, I would track fiber instead.

I think this response was very kind. You eat a horribly non nutritious diet most of the time. It looks like fun but it's really hard to live on ice cream, vodka and popcorn for long! More fruits, veggies, lean meats and healthy fats will go a long way toward you maintaining your weight and being healthy.

The past week definitely hasn't been the dorm as far as food goes. The long weekend inspired some less than great eating. We had lots of evenings out AND went on a tour of an ice cream factory- thus all the ice cream.
On that note, my daily diet should go back to my normal chicken and salad for lunch and lean meats and veggies for dinner.

    Thank you for response!

I did go back a few weeks and it looked better prior to the 4th of July but I will note that there is nothing wrong with ice cream. But it isn't good to get 50% of your calories from junk food. But on another side note, most people can maintain at 2000+ calories.
