Fresh Fruit

Is the sugar in fresh fruit "bad" for you. A peach and some fresh mango take up my whole day's allotment of sugar.
Something doesn't seem quite right.

No its not, unless you are diabetic.... As long as it fits your calories, enjoy..... I changed my sugar settings to fibre - a lot more important for me.....

As long as you're staying withing your caloric goals (and you're not diabetic or have food allergies / sensitivities) there's no reason to exclude any food from your dietary intake. Fresh fruits may tend to be a bit high in sugars but they're also full of other nutrients.

I always figure that the sugar in fruit is balanced out by all the fiber and nutrients that I get from eating the fruit.

That and the fact that I can eat an apple (about 80 calories) and be full for quite a while, or eat a cookie (about 100 calories) and want to eat about 4 or 5 more.

I'm so glad you asked this as I was just wondering the same thing. I have a serious sweet tooth & find that to replace my candies & such, I am reaching for fruits. Right now, I have a major addiction to frozen grapes covered in sugar-free jello. Glad to hear!

I always go over my sugar when I eat fruit. It hasn't hindered my weight loss so far.
