I am a 41 year old female, 5'1 in height. I started out at 120 pounds, I have only lost 2 pounds in 21 days.....I was down 4 now back up. My calorie range is 1200-1500. I work out 5 days a week. I run 2 times a week (3 mi) kickboxing, insanity work outs, boot camps, interval work. I am very frustrated. I eat healthy(high protein, low carbs) I am wanting to get to 110. My goal was 1 pound a week. I weighed 110 till about 4 years ago. Any helpful advise would be appreciated.

I'm no expert but I would say 2 pounds in 21 days is actually pretty good for your weight. I'm in the 120s, and I've learned that the lower in weight I've gotten, the harder and longer it takes to get the pounds off. At this point I would love to lose 2 pounds in three weeks! All I can really say is keep up with it - if anything, your body WILL get stronger, healthier and look better, and that's really why we're here right? Good luck!

you are over 40. sucks, but it's going to be harder to lose weight.

on the plus side, you are well within a normal and healthy BMI.

btw, you set it for 1 pound a week, and lost two pounds in three weeks. thats kinda close.

do you still, ahem, menstruate?? cuz that'll have an effect on weight loss.

Technically at your weight you should be aiming for a half pound a week. You hit and exceeded that; it's very difficult to do when you have so little fat to actually lose. Good job!

How long ago did you start the exercise regime, as sometimes people find that when they start a new program their body doesn't really do much as it adjusts, and then suddenly the weight starts coming off.

Also, i would tend to agree with the poster above me; that amount of loss for the weight you are already is probably gonna be the norm. Don't get discouraged, as a loss is still a loss and way better than a gain!

If you're averaging at least .5 pounds a week, you're right where you should be.

You're already pretty small. It isn't going to come off fast.
