My Hubby won't get on mfp but I want to help him as he is trying to eat healthier and lose weight. He has lost over 30 pounds weighs around 314. How many calories a day should he be eating if he wants to lose slowly? Are any of you similar and what amount do you eat? He just had a defibrillator put in 10 days ago too. Thanks.

Bang his height, weight and age plus another few factors into this website and do it for him!

I'd say whatever he's been doing he should keep doing. Don't over complicate it for him - he's seeings results, why not keep at it?
If he must have a number, use any of the zillion calculators that are out there.0 -

^ This.
Though, I'd say point it out and help him but don't do it for him or nag. The only way he's going to succeed is if he finds the motivation in himself, so you can provide an example and encourage, but if he is like many people, the minute you start nagging you will become the resistance he pushes against in the other direction.0 -

he has lost 30lbs himself, leave him to it! By all means show him MFP, but he has to do it in a way that he wants to. you cant make him do it, or do it for him.0 -
Thank you all for being helpful. Yes, I am trying to not nag. I just wanted to know ballpark so I could make meals to meet the calories he might have left that day. I know men can eat a lot more. But I have no ideal how much more. Funny before we started all this I thought I knew about healthy eating. I've learned I was pretty clueless. lol Again thank you everyone.0
