32 yo mom who needs encouragment

I became a mom 7 years ago. After my second son, who is 5 years old, I began to suffer from some anxiety and have been on over a dozen meds for the past 5 years. Some meds make my hair fall out and most made me gain weight. 15 pounds in 12 months from one particular med. Since then, I hold a grudge that I was eating healthy and was gaining weight so I might as well eat what I want and gain it on my own free will. Well, know I am coming up to my 32nd bday this month and weigh 155lbs and am 5'0. I am not interested in the scale numbers, I just want to feel comfortable in my own skin and not "diet". I want a change in healthy lifestyle.

Two months ago I started working with a trainer. Both my legs were so swollen the next day, the size of my thigh was consistent all the way down to my ankles. She said in 20 years she had never seen anything like this. (After all my anxiety meds, I am used to the fact that if there is a 0.00001% chance of a side effect, I DO get it.) So now I am having blood work and ultra sounds performed on my legs to rule out blood clots.

I try and then something comes out to try and defeat me and I have always let it. I have not exercised with my trainer since May due to the unknown issue with my severe swelling.

I want to find other people in, maybe, a similar situation as me who have been successful and can motivate me. Please add me as a friend!!!!!

Thanks for listening to my sob story :-)

I can't say I have any health problems like the swelling, but I suffered depression for years after having my son (he's 6) I tried meds for several months and I didn't like the way they made me feel, not to mention I don't like taking any kind of medication unless I have to... So I just dealt with being depressed most of the time, Last November my husband decided he was no longer happy & moved out, we are still currently separated, but in the last 7 months I turned to exercise determined to avoid anti-depressants, I have lost 40 pounds and use exercise as my release and I have felt better than I have in years!

I hope you find out soon what the swelling issue is because working out may be your key to happiness!! Best of luck to you!
