Finally... A difference!

So I've lost a total of about 25lbs since I started a year and a half ago. I had lost about 15 before my wedding, put nearly all of it back on and was away from the gym and MFP for months until finally in Feb I got back on here and have lost about 18lbs since then. Well I have been taking pictures (face, front, and side) and my clothes are definitely loose or I can't wear them anymore cause they are too big but I haven't officially gone down a size yet. I am nearly about to break into the 200's for the first time in about 10 years and I keep thinking to myself, I know I've lost some pounds and inches but everything seems the same.
Well I have this dress that I bought about 1 year ago because I was buying it for a party we were having to celebrate our wedding with friends and family after we got home (we got married in Hawaii and most our friends and family were unable to attend) and I never realized when I bought it, nor when I was wearing it all day for our party how HORRIBLE the combo of the strapless bra and the dress (it's kinda a stretchy material that clings) made my back look. The bra made fat rolls and the dress clung to them showing them off. I was completely unaware of this until I saw this picture from the party:
Needless to say I wasn't very happy to see that pic. Well I haven't worn the dress since that day, nearly a year ago. Mostly just because I don't much care for the strapless bra and I don't have too many occasions worth dressing up for. Until today. My aunt was having her birthday party and my grandma who had been unable to attend our party had mentioned she never got to see me in that dress so I told her I would wear it. I took all the stuff I needed to change into to work since I was going there from work and when I put it on I was definitely checking out my back trying to get everything pulled up and straight and I thought, hey, I don't think this looks as bad as it did last year! So I snapped a picture with my phone in the mirror and I pulled up the photo from last year and I was actually kinda stunned. My back, while not flat yet, looked way more flat now than it did last year:
So I guess all this time I should have been looking to my back side to see where the changes in my body are really happening, lol.
But glad to have realized this as I've been super stressed and way too busy and have been just treading water for at least 6 weeks now. Now that I see definite progress and change I hope this will help get me back at it full force

We are always the last people to see change. You look great and I bet you felt a lot better wearing that dress for the second time. Have you asked others if they have seen a difference? Keep up the good work you've done so well to lose weight the first time and now again after a break! an inspiration for people who are starting again.0

Yay! Congrats on seeing a change, and I bet you felt great the whole time you were wearing it!
I hope this keeps you motivated. Imagine how that dress will look next year!

I'm so excited for you! It's so great to finally notice the change for ourselves. People can tell you but it doesn't really sink in until its from your own eyes. I know you're working hard and I'm glad to be a part of your journey! Keep it up0

Yes isn't it weird the places it comes off? I'd kinda thought my back seemed different but I never gave much thought to tracking it with pics and I definitely didn't realize how much a difference there was!0 -

Thank you! And isn't that so true about it not really sinking in till you feel/see it for yourself? I hear people say it and I'm like "Yeah, yeah, whatever" Was just really glad I decided to wear the dress again0
