No access to gym equipment

I'm visiting family for the entire month of July and do not have access to any heavy weights or gym equipment.

What is the best temporary alternative to lifting?

    I'd say something like you are your own gym or other body weight work outs at home. Think Nerd Fitness has a few good ones. You can get some pretty good results with just body weight work outs :)

    Bodyweight training! Fitnessblender.com has a ton of free workout videos and you can search according to what equipment you have (you would put none).

    Your own body weight lunges squats and push ups and don't forget burpees!!!!

    A good set of resistance bands can be added to body weight workouts and provide some variety.
