Raspberry Ketone and Green Tea Supplement?

Does anyone have an opinion on Raspberry Ketones and Green Tea for supplements? I took a supplement with both ingredients when I started my journey to lose weight this year. I started at 257 on Feb 1st and was at 247 by Feb 18th. I stopped the supplements to see if my health program called "Retrofit" would do the job without the supplement. I have been eating better than I have for a few years and definitely moving around/exercising more too.
But...
I have not weighed less than 242 since starting.
Now...
Granted I did stop my program when my mom got sick and died, I was 242 then back up to 250. Now since restarting for 2 weeks I am down to 248
but I am thinking of trying the supplements again to boost my weight loss and get me more motivated start a more sophisticated work out regimen ( up til now I've been trying to reach 6600 steps per day - 10 minutes 3 x week for exercise )
My exercise coach also wants me to start an 8 week strength training course.
What are your thoughts about taking a supplement?
And any tips to a girl who has had a hard time losing the weight all her life.

how often do you log your daily food intake into MFP? Also, do you have a food scale?0 -
Magic pills don't work. Eating right and exercising does. You can do this without wasting your money on worthless junk! Glad to hear you're back on track to taking care of your self - I can only imagine how hard it must have been to lose your mom.0

I HAVE AN OPINION. if you want those things... DRINK green tea, and EAT rasberries.0

Screw opinions. How about facts! The fact is that this stuff is a joke! Ignore anyone that says otherwise. If you lost weight taking this stuff its just causation vs. correlation possibly mixed with some placebo effect. If you lose weight it's because you at less.0

Please do not get sucked into this they do not work, I shamefully got sucked in and ended up paying a lot of money for nothing, don't take colon cleanse pills either they can damage your naturalability to "flow"! Just like someone said above drink green and herbal teaand eat fruit use the money in other better ways - ps I take vitamins and mineral supplements so I'm not totally against this; just the ones that are a con.
These reviews are biased or a lie. Peoplethat have results are eating healthily at a deficit and exercising I think that is the cause of the loss just to add in here also that I was eating at deficit for a long time and couldn't lose anything it didn't happen until I seriously started to increase my exercise amount, I really think the answer if you have improved your diet, move more as often as possible0 -

I'd say starting a strength training programme is a great idea. What would also help is tracking your food on here - set a moderate calorie deficit and get really serious about weighing, measuring and logging all your food. Make a commitment to yourself.
Sadly, there is no quick fix for sustainable weight loss. You have to change your habits. It's the only way. Don't look for pills or supplements that make outrageous promises. Even the ones that "work" will only make a tiny bit of difference, and only if you're also on top of your diet. There is no evidence that raspberry ketones do anything in humans. Green tea will give you some caffeine, and some antioxidants, but it's no weight loss miracle. Eat right, get active, and persevere. :flowerforyou:0 -
Thank you for your opinions!
I did lose weigh a few years ago ( almost 40 lbs ) by eating right and walking. After a life change - buying a house, working more, exercising less - I gained it all back.
Now - I joined this health program and have been logging my food every day, getting more exercise, and its just frustrating because its not coming off like before. I have a nutritionist and exercise physiotrist and a counselor to help me every day. I will be starting a strength training program soon - so hoping this helps besides just walking more.
my nutritionist calculated my calories so I eat the right amount everyday - not too little and not too much.
I already drink diet green tea too to help with energy, but not alot because of the artificial sweetner.
Thank you again - I will keep trying without the supplements, for now.0 -

Please do not buy these products from the website ketonepremium if you must buy them at all, it's a scam that cost my friends hundreds and I only just got out unscathed by reading miles of terms and conditions.0
