Since recovering from being underweight (77 pounds) i've been bingeing on wayy too much fat! However its been 4 months since my lowest weight and i'm now 106 pounds. Even though my weight is very high I still binge eat and i was wondering how i can stop this. I've tried filling up on water and veggies to the point where i feel really stuffed but i still find myself searching for something really dense to make me satisfied. This morning I ate about a half cup of raw walnuts, half an avocado, a little bit of coconut butter, and about a tablespoon of flaxseeds :S sounds scary and disgusting. What is going to happen to my body after eating all of this and what should i do to counteract what I just ate :S should i still eat later in the day or should I starve it off until tomorrow and just exercise it off?

So...So many things. Can't even fathom...
Hookay. How much fat is too much? Do you feel like fat will make you fat, because that's not true. Fat is essential to life.
Avocado however is gross.0 -
I'm confused. If you think you eat too much fat, why did you choose those foods? Do you just enjoy those specific foods? There's not a way to counteract what you ate, but you could balance out the diet for the day by eating more low fat, high carb or high protein foods.0

Open up your diary so we can see what your intake is supposed to be.
I'm guessing you're either recovering from anorexia or bulemia? Unless you're reaaaaaallly small, like 4'10" tall, that's too few calories.
What you did, to most people, is absolutely not a binge. That looks like a decent breakfast that could use some chicken, cheese and maybe a bit of salsa. Please eat more protein and fiber today.
Also, if you're serious about coming up from 77lbs and you haven't seen a doctor you should probably speak with them. What you're considering a "binge" does not sound like one.0 -
Avocado however is gross.
^This. And like chelled said, fat is good for you. I don't know your height but 106lbs is definitely not "very high". And your 'binge' is about a quarter of what I eat everyday (fat-wise), if that.
You could very well be bingeing because you're under- eating. How many cals are you currently eating? What are your stats? And DON'T starve yourself.
Ps: If I am come across as harsh,I am not trying to demean you in any way, but am just being matter of fact.0 -
Nothing negative will happen to your body. It's probably thrilled to be receiving adequate hormone synthesizing fats, they sound like they came from great sources too. As long as you're within your calories, nothing will "happen".0
-
Nothing will happen all of those items are healthy fat's, they are good for you in small amounts, I can't even fathom how it must be for you to deal with body issues every minute of every day.0

In order to recover and heal your body from from an eating disorder, like anorexia, you need to be eating a surplus of calories. It is going to feel like "binging", but it is not. I hope you are still seeing a professional to help you through this. Please check this website as well:

None of that sounds like too much fat or a binge to me. Fat is necessary for your body and good for your health. If you felt overly full afterwards, space it out and add in some more veggies, but don't feel bad about eating any of those things. All are great foods.0

I'm not trying to be critical at all but it sounds like you still have a disordered relationship with food (if you honestly think that 106lbs is "very high" and the amount of fat you ate is "wayy to much.") I would recommend that you stay away from calorie counting websites such as these (unless you are specifically using it to gain weight) because it seems like this kind of thing could be a trigger for you. Are you in therapy? If so, definitely talk to your counselor about it.
There is nothing wrong with a high-fat diet. Fat doesn't make you fat. And it sounds like your fat is coming from healthy sources, which is great. The important thing is balance - just make sure you're getting some healthy carbs and protein in there with your fat. Good luck with your journey and recovery :flowerforyou:0 -
I love avocados and everything else the Original Poster mentioned! Those are all great things for your body and your body will thank you for them. You just have to change your way of thinking.0

That sounds like a fine breakfast to me.0

Yea avocados are delicious and supposed to be really healthy. I do eat healthy foods but i guess im just eating too much of them at once.. I am seeing a dietitan and i'm trying to follow her plan but i always slip and end up bingeing too much in the morning then restricting until dinner or the next day, i admit my relationship with food is crappy but i guess its hard when my whole life i was slim then underweight and all the sudden I have to gain weight... ugh so many ups and downs, im hoping my hunger will become normalized when I reach my ideal weight, whatever that is and then i won't feel so preoccupied with these worries about eating too much but thanks for all the advice. Knowing that my breakfast actually sounds normal makes me feel better, i used to just have a small green smoothie for breakfast and starve until lunch when i would have a small salad, so eating this much in the morning is really different for me and i just want to be reassured that this isn't going overboard0

Get thee to a therapist. NOW.
Unless you're short enough to make Snooki look like a tree, you probably look to the rest of the world like a strong breeze could snap you in half. That meal with "too much fat" is probably long overdue... yes, you need fat. This isn't something I've ever felt the urge to say around here much, but don't demonize saturated fat either - your body actually needs a certain amount of it for the purposes of turning it into things it needs for making cell membranes, vitamin d (sunlight alone doesn't get the job done), and the like.0 -
I eat over 130 grams a day... But less than 20 g pf carbs so yeah xD. No, i'm not going to die. I'm 140 and 14% bodyfat with awesome cholesterol and triglyceride levels (;0

For those reasons highlighted above, you should go see a doctor or therapist. You clearly have issues revolving around your body and food, and no one here is qualified to help you. I hope you decide to take care of yourself.0 -

1) At 106Ibs, unless you are under 4'9 or something, you are not remotely heavy. Quite the contrary. Your perception has become skewed because you are so used to being an unhealthily low weight.
2) The foods you listed are really healthy fats, and you should feel proud of yourself for eating such healthy foods. There are so many vitamins and minerals in avocados and nuts that your body can make use of. I regularly have a whole avocado as just part of my complete dinner. I have low bodyfat%.
3) If you cannot overcome this alone then seek help. Life is too short to be spending it in the throes of eating disorders, then hitting your 30s and realising you have missed out on living and loving the time you had. Believe me, I have been there.
4) look to the root cause of your ED. Why you need to be a certain weight, why you fear fat, and get to solving that, as nothing else is likely to improve without that. Is it about control? Is it about only feeling safe or feminine if you are light? Is it about some strange idea of perfection ? For me it was about control, and I am finding that control in gaining muscle and strength and challenging myself to achieve a non weight related aesthetic.

Your thinking is still very disordered. Fat is not the enemy and you should let go of those feelings. Everything you ate is nutritious.0 -

If hating avocado is wrong, I don't want to be right.0 -
Absolutely DO NOT starve it off until tomorrow. EAT AGAIN TODAY! If you try to deny yourself food for the rest of the day, you'll just end up extra hungry tomorrow. Maybe your calories will end up being too high today, but get back on track tomorrow. You WILL get hungry later, so don't deny it. Like I said, you'll just be extra hungry tomorrow. That will very likely lead to reactive eating which can turn into a binge. Chances are you'll end up eating too much tomorrow if you try and starve today. Restricting to "make up" for eating is a really disordered pattern and can leads down a dangerous path. Even if you manage tomorrow okay, eventually it will catch up with you, especially if it becomes a pattern.
So don't let it become a pattern starting by setting not even a pinky toe on that path.0 -
As previously said, 109lb is very light.0
