APPETITE SUPPRESSANT THAT WORKS???

Any suggestions on a appetite suppressant that actually works? I have been trying to research one but the reviews and studies contradict each other. Some reviews seem fake as well. Does anyone take any or know of any that work? Has anyone tried E-Z tea?

If you are an over eater a ketogenic diet is the way to go short term....then cyclic..IMHO

It is impossible to overeat on a HEALTHY ketogenic diet

    long term try Paleo

    skip the pills

    lift heavy things

    keep it up

check the mirror after a few months

    boom

In general I don't believe any of them work long term, nor are they healthy for general use. Perhaps a prescribed one with Dr's supervison. Since this is the result of a prescription medication perhaps talk to your dr about using a different scrip. Find one that has the desired effect without side effects.

agreed...I personally don't do a diet like this but I DO keep in tune with my body. If I go over a certain # of carb grams in a meal I know I'll be hungry quicker.

Other non-pill strategies to help with hunger is coffee and/or sipping on hot tea the whole day. The tea especially helps me a bunch. I drink Yerba Mate tea. Spice Apple Cinnamon tea is also good. I think the cinnamon helps control blood sugars which in turn helps turn off the hunger since you are not spiking your blood sugar. Don't spike your blood sugar = don't feel crazy hungry.

what medicine is this? Is there an alternative?

I will say again a short term ketogenic diet will help make you feel full

Eat more protein. I'm also on a medication that causes me to feel hungry all the time, so I set my protein here to 25% instead of the low 15% and I frequently still go over. Protein helps you feel fuller longer, so that absolutely helps me out. I know it's tough, but hang in there. Hopefully they will subside some over time.

This guy does research reviews for supplements - great resource.

To make a long story short - he only recommends garcina cambogia -

I've never tried it so I can't offer any personal experience.

He also recommends glucomannan or Konjac root - it's just a big fiber capsule. They make you feel full. They are a bit hard to swallow - so tuck your chin to swallow them. It's basically a harmless fiber that swells in your stomach.

A lot of folks where I work are having decent results with Plexus Slim - but one of the ingredients may raise homocysteine levels - which is a cardiac risk factor, so I'm not trying them.

    Hope that helped.
