    Hellp my friends, freaks and IMMORTAL keepers of the iron and steel! Its OFFICIAL, I weigh 250 lbs. with some abs, people stare a lot at me now like I have a booger in my nose or something. I am able to do a strongman competition and 5K in the same day. Yes, my knee hurts, yes my shoulder hurts, yes my diet isn't perfect. But you know what, I'm not waiting for the doctor, old age, or death. I'm doing something about it! What are you doing? I'm the baddest 47 year old around! Don't like it? Come get sum!

    I'm 47, so I am well over 40 and knocking on 50's door. I'm from Ohio, and I'm a huge hockey fan.

    I have struggled with weight all my life. This is my 3rd weight loss effort. I lost 100 pounds when I was 17. Lost 50 pounds when I was 37. And now I am back at it again. I've lost 9 pounds so far.

    Fact: I have jogged and completed 4 marathons. I am hoping I can lose enough weight to jog a 5th.

    MFP has been a very useful tool to measure my intake of calories.

    So I would welcome friend requests.

    I always heard losing weight was harder after 40, I will be 45 on Wednesday and OMG this is hard. I am beginning to think that the hardest part is that I am tired of being told what to do or don't do, eat or don't eat, say or don't say, etc. I want my cake and no calories to go with it.

    Seeing as I turned 50 this year, I could class myself as over 40 lol.
    Trying to make new friends and get motivated is proving to be a bit of a task.
    Wish I could lose calories by trying to find new friends.

    I have been a member on here for over 3yrs and did nearly reach my goal weight.
    BUT
    Stuff happened and I piled it all back on again.
    Now, I am struggling to even log on every day.
