Elbow Fat

Hello everyone my name is Bethany and I am 5' 8". I gained around 20 pounds over the course of two years and I've finally been able to get the weight off. I was about 160 pounds, then in about 1.5 years I was 177 (which was the biggest I'd even been). Now I am at 157 pounds and I am 10 pounds away from my goal weight of 147. I am loving how I look now but there is one MAJOR problem. I have fat on my elbows !!! I know that it is a genetic thing because a lot of my aunties have this problem as well but they are 40+. How is it that I have this problem when I am so young!? Their arms didn't look like mine at their age. I HATE MY ARMS!!! I've done everything from chair body lifts to boxing and I just can't seem to make my elbows any smaller! It seems like I've lost weight everywhere BUT my elbows -_-. My arms didn't look like this when I was this weight before so why do they now that I gained weight and lost it back? The area above my elbows measures at 11.5 inches. I honestly am about save my money to go and get liposuction because I can't leave my arms out. I always have them covered because the area above my elbow looks SO BAD and SO DISPROPORTIONATE. I feel like i'm the only young person in the WORLD with this problem. PLEASE. SOMEBODY... ANYBODY... I NEED HELP!

Notice hand position and STRAIGHT elbow
In order to effect the muscles you aren't using, you must keep your elbow straight, whether you have it resting on the arm of your couch or prop something something under it. The moment you bend your arm, you use entirely DIFFERENT muscles. Keep the arm straight!
2
Then, simply raise your hand as in the picture, (keeping your arm straight). You may feel a burn on the back of your hand and the muscles that run the underside from elbow to shoulder. This is good. This means you haven't been using those muscles and that's why fat found its happy little way onto your arm.

Raise your hand into this position as long as you can, bring it down and raise it again. For the next ten minutes, just keep raising and lowering your hand. This will build up those muscles previously untouched and burn up the fat on those muscles.
4
That's it! You're done! Just do this simple little exercise ten minutes a day and you will notice the fat starts to run from this area.
5
If you want faster results, use a small hand weight. Remember, just getting those muscles used in the first place is a great step!

You know spot reduction of fat isn't possible without surgery, right?
OP, if it is fat, try and lower your body fat percentage further assuming you haven't reached the point where problems (e.g. reproductive issues) start to occur. If you still have 10 pounds of fat to lose, you have no idea where that will come from - if your elbows are your "last off" area you might be close to shifting it. Re-evaluate in 10 pounds time.0 -

This was the very last thing on me to go; it also runs in my family. Reducing body fat - keeping up with strength work - will really help. It is a slow process. Try to do strength work (and by that I mean body weight, heavier dumbbells or heavy lifting) 3x a week in addition to whatever cardio you do. It will take a couple of months, maybe more. But stick to it! Good luck.0

Do they look like this?:
Lift or do upper body bodyweight exercises and stay in a calorie deficit, the fat will eventually come off. Probably want to have muscle there when its gone so that's why I suggest lifting or bodyweight exercises for upper body... not because it will help in spot reducing because spot reducing isn't real.0 -

Girl, I feel your pain. My sagging elbow fat is the bane of my existence. I can't wear sleeveless anything. If you figure it out, we'll both know what to do!0
