Polar is a great, reliable brand. :) I have a Polar FT4. It wasn't super cheap, but I love it!

Don't know anything about the one mentioned. I have a Polar FT7. It works well. There was a bit of a learning curve in using it but then I don't read manuals.

Any HRM with a chest strap is going to be EKG accurate for reading your HR.

Some wrist models that try to read it from you skin there can be pretty decent, but not level of same accuracy.

Wrist only models that have you touch a spot to get instant HR - might as well wear watch and count pulse for 6 seconds, though it's slightly better than that, but mere act of stopping has changed it.

So read up on how it gets the HR.
Then your desired features, do you want zone alarms to stay in a certain range, upper and lower, visual and audible option?
Do you want end of workout stats for maxHR seen, avgHR obtained, length of workout?
Can you start and stop the workout like stop watch, or act of putting it on starts the timer, if it even has one?

It's like asking is a bicycle, moped, motorcycle, car, truck, or van best for your mode of transportation?
With a lack of what you need it for - any opinion is vacuous.

I use a Polar RS100. I didn't do too much research before I bought, but this one ranked up there as among the best of the cheaper models. I paid about $60 at Amazon. It works great and does exactly what I need.
