My bff gave me a jar of octopus once.

The weirdest thing I've seen and bought myself are probably jellied eels. D:

I had real pork rinds once, not the kind that taste like styrofoam and come in a plastic bag but real fresh ones just lifted out of a cauldron of boiling, sizzling fat. I remember them being pretty tasty, but microwave ones? Ewwww!

My memory must be pretty poor today because the weirdest thing I can think of I've seen in a grocery store (never bought though) was pickled pig's feet in glass jars. BLLEEEECCCCKKKKKKKK!

The weirdest thing I have seen at a store was something called Spotted D!ck, it is was some kind of bread thing.
I didn't buy it, but I did giggle at the name.

I remember giggling at that when I was a kid! But in England it is a pretty popular pudding. Homemade is best. Its more cake than bread and should be served hot with lashings of custard!

I noticed that Morrisons has started selling fresh whole octopus (looks gross) and pigs trotters.

That looks like the photo was taken at the House of Cheese in the Market! Nice to see another Ottawa native :)

I'd have to say that a full size, frozen, vegan imitation salami from the Asian market is the weirdest thing I've ever seen.

Being Asian and hitting up the Asian supermarket once a month, I'm more than sure I could post things that would seem weird to people, but regular to Asian culture. But here's one:

it's lush! With brown sugar and butter melted on top. My mum used to make it for us as a kid. Hmmm, now I think about it that's how I ended up needing to be on here!
