I am one week away from going into the recovery week. I have noticed my body start to take shape and I've lost about 3 lbs. My diet has been decent. I will admit there is plenty of room for improvement. I was just curious - for all of you Insanity Grads - when did you start to see the results? I've heard the biggest transformation comes in the 2nd month during the Max workouts. Is this true? Just curious what to expect.

I lost 16 lbs each time I did Insanity... But the fact I was in better shape and could see the changes in my body was what really impressed me.. Best of Luck and keep pushing play..

Thanks for the reply. I have noticed a major difference in my endurance level which I am really pleased with.

I only took measurements and weighed in at the very beginning, and then again at the end. I didn't think I was changing very much just by looking in the mirror, but when I looked at my "before" and "after" pics, I was AMAZED at how much my stomach had pulled in! And I lost 10 pounds! I've completed it twice now, and still incorporate the routines into my cycle of work outs. They're fabulous! Just did one last night, actually!

Hi I only had 18lbs to lose and saw the biggest change in the second sessions - although at that point I also added in some running.

Insanity got me away from thinking about weight loss and start thinking more about fitness & body shape etc.

I lost 14 lbs (6.35 kg) during the full program but also lost 2.5 inches from my waist and 3 inches from my stomach.

I never pressed pause! woot woot, but did have to take breaks for a few seconds every now and again.

I am starting the full program all over again next week, adding in some running and also 30 Day Shred with Jillian Michaels.

Good luck and remember to DIG DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPER!!!!

Thanks! I have been taking my measurements as well and I have FINALLY dropped an inch off my hips and a few inches off my waist. I am happy with the results so far. I am trying to get over my "scale issues." haha.

I have 4 workouts left of the entire program and haven't notice the weight coming off but have definitely lost inches and gained some serious endurance and strength! I'm hoping the after pics will let me see things that the scale isn't but as long as I keep losing inches I'm happy. I'm going to do a 2nd round immediately after I finish the program this weekend!

look at my homepage and look at my pictures the one in the middle is before at 230 pounds. Just came back from california and insanity showed up in my mailbox. Started the next day and wow it was awesome. The 5 th week playing softball everybody asked how I was running faster. It is great for stamina also. Just started mixing it in again with my workouts just 2 days ago and I am really stiff 2 days later. The only bad thing is I didn't have a heart rate monitor, and have since purchased one so on days I was doing it I wasn't eating back my calories. So when I did it the other day i burned 804 calories which i did eat back this time, I think I would have had better benefits by tracking he calories during the 9 weeks and eating them back

    Exactly :)

So many people on here eating less than 1200 calories net - imo are mental. I like the fact you need to fuel your body for Insanity and also I get a lot of 'eat back' calories at the end of it lol.

Again, good luck with the program.

Insanity is awesome! I lost 7 pounds after doing the whole thing. I noticed the biggest body change and challenge doing the Max workouts.

I think 7 lbs is probably what I will end up with as well. I am pretty nervous for the 2nd month b/c the 1st half is kicking my booty! haha.

I did 4 straight rounds of Insanity - from October 2010 to June 2011. In that time I lost around 53 lbs. (213 lbs. to 160) and went down from a size 18 to an 8. In June I moved on to and completed Isnaity: The Asylum and started running. Thanks to Shaun T. and Insanity I am a new happy person. I still continue to do the Max workouts as I am doing a hybrid of Insanity and P90X now. I had results within the first month of my first round, but I had a lot to lose.

Keep up the hard work and Dig Deep!

Yeah, enjoy the Recovery week is all I can say lol. Once you start the Max workouts, its a whole new ball of wax. I didnt feel like I was getting in shape for it till like the last week of it lol.

I have progressive mirror pictures in my profile that I took without flexing. I got some good definition but Im still working towards the crazy definition without flexing in the mirror.

I'm just about to start month 2, and I have to say I'm kinda glad to read of some other people that aren't having crazy weight/measurement changes. I've only lost about half an inch (off my waist) and the scale hasn't moved (but it's really the first one that bugs me, I know the scale is evil, lol). I definitely did better on the second fit test, we'll see again tomorrow. I've been getting really discouraged because I feel like the only thing I've gained is knee pain. But seeing that I'm not some freak not getting results makes me feel better haha! I'm gonna stick with it and see what month 2 brings. Dig deeper!
  • I've also heard that the majority of the results come from month two...and it's definitely true for me!! Up to this point (beginning week 3 of month 2), I've lost a total of 10 inches but only lost about 5 pounds (according to the scale). The measurements and before and after pics definitely mean more than what the scale says!! I'm very surprised by my loss bc I was fairly small to begin with. I had hit a weight loss plateau but was able to break through with insanity!! I don't follow the diet plan as written...but I do eat the correct amount of calories. Also, I have skipped a few workouts here and there, but mostly made those up with obstacle mud runs and climbing 14ers instead of the insanity workout for that day. Bottom line is don't get discouraged!! Stick with it and eat the proper amount of calories (from nutritional foods) and you will see results, no doubt. It may not be until month two but once you get there you'll drop inches like its nobody's business :) I'm thinking about doing P90X next...anyone have any insights on that? I'm moving to a second floor apartment so kinda worried about noise complaints.
