Hi all- Just started and wanted to know any ideas for snacks you may have. I have little time to prepare snacks before work so if you have any shop bought ideas, I would be most grateful.

Get your snacks/lunch ready the night before. That's what I do because I don't have time in the morning.
I eat mostly fruits and vegetables. But I also bring almonds, Wasa crispbread (with a Laughing Cow cheese wedge), Goldfish and occasionally Anna's cookies.0 -
I often eat almonds for snacks (or sunflower seeds). One ounce (about 24 nuts) is 150 calories. I usually have these as a snack in the morning or afternoon. You can also get them dusted with cocoa if you're a chocolate fan. I have a scale to measure the servings and put an ounce each into a few ziplock baggies and keep them in my purse.
Fruit is always a great idea too!
Like Mindymoe1, I also have an airpopper for popcorn, which I use when I need a low-calorie snack that lasts. She's right when she says that you can eat a giant bowl for 230 calories.
Individually packaged snacks are a good idea too. You can get all kinds of 100-calorie bags or pretty healthy snack bars if you shop around a little.0 -
To make it easier, I buy a party veggie tray and make snacks out of that. When they start to get too old, I turn the rest into a stirfry.0

My favorites are cheese with fruit or nuts. It's usually sliced Swiss because it tends to be low in sodium, and I tend to favor small apples, pears, and oranges. I love the nuts raw and unsalted. They taste a little sweet. Eating a handful (1oz) of nuts a day can be very beneficial to your health.0

I am not sure of your work environment but if you can bring your snacks in advance that helps I have a special drawer where I keep the following: 100 calorie cookies, various nuts, applesauce, low fat cheesesticks, sugar free chocolate pudding, 100 calorie Craisins, you can bag baby carrots in advance also you can bag celery and Happy Cow Cheese; V8 Juice, 100 Calorie Snack Pringles, I eat typically 3 servings of fruit during the day you can individually bag that also.0

Thanks all. I'm loving the fact people are saying cheese and nuts!!! In moderation though I'm sure. Carrot sticks may be a winner too as I'm not keen on most vegetables. Will have to look into the popcorn though as I am based in the UK and all we really have is butterkist!!
I'm a teacher so get very little time to eat until the evening, that has been my problem- snacking on crisps and chocolate all day as I have no time for a 'real' meal.0
