is my calorie intake to low?

Hi am new to this whole thing.176cm starting weight 100kg looking to go down to 63kg but have not got a set date. I am stay at home mam of 1.5 and 4month old other than looking after my kids have a sedetary life . Myfitnesspal has set my calories at 1200 a day does this seem right? I am managing to stick to it but yesterday did long walk for 3 hours pushing double pram which worked out to about 700 cal burnt according to a diffrent sites calculator( was for pushing a normal stroller for that period so maybe is more) but only used say 100 of these to eat something extra. is this right as have saw some posts saying should be using up the calories burned from excercise.

Have only been doing this for 5 day but just want to make sure am starting off right have lost 2kg up till now since starting on Tuesday.

    My calorie intake is 1800, my personal trainer, & physician says I need to take in 1350 to 1400. A lot of days I go over. They advise me the calories in burn to not eat them back. I think it depends on the situation.

    You need to calculate your numbers...

    Most people on MFP are eating WAY too little food for their BMR/TDEE.

    know am going to sound totally thick but how do I do that?

    would this be my BMI with my current loss of 4kg as of this morning BMI is 31 .

    How do I get my calorie intake from this?

    also my excercise level is seditery do you think this is ok? how luch excercise to be classed as light ?

    looking after 2kids and walking at weekend . Or am I judging the excerices needed to high?

    If you want to learn, read this. If you are a sensitive baby, with knee-jerk reactions, ignore now.

    You should consult with a professional health care expert to determine your ideal nutrition for health and fat reduction. It is very unlikely that any good doctor would agree that a sedentary lifestyle is healthy. Children need exercise, and so do adults. Unless medical conditions prohibit it, everyone should be exercising daily, both aerobically and anaerobically.

    I think you mean "Is my Calorie intake too low?" Calories, capital C, are "large calories" (equal to one thousand small calories) used to count nutritional energy from food, while small calories, lower case c, are equal to the amount of energy required to raise one CC of water by one degree Celsius.

    I assume that you are asking whether or not your Calorie consumption is lower than it should be ("too low"), not whether or not your your heat input (calorie intake) channels the heat toward (to) something called "low". For those who never learned the difference between "to" and "too" and "two", now is your chance.

    The information should help you to get the basics of how to calculate a suitable intake (& explain what BMR & TDEE actually is). You may have different energy requirements with a 4month old especially if you're nursing.
    That's it, I'll leave the rest of the advice to the old timers (eat more, ignore what MFP give you, you spelt something wrong, blah blah). Good luck :smile:

    Please read the FAQs on how MFP works. You are supposed to eat back those calories you burn off...and if your goal is that low, you really must. You aren't eating enough to properly fuel your body and brain if you're netting so little. MFP builds in a deficit at the front end. You CAN do this...do it healthy!

    What the heck is wrong with the rest of you? Before coming back at people about spelling errors, or the difference between two/too/to, try to remember the confusion when you first started!

    Thanks for the good advice (- english lesson). I am new to all this and really appreciate getting some info from the people who know more about the site.

    I will be looking in to that link have allready been in but not got the time at the moment to really take it in.

    I am breast feeding so I think I should be consuming at least 500 for that.
